Hi snowyboy .. you may have missed stig1974's first post. He is flying Newcastle to Cancun on 29 June, and has been offered a premier upgrade for £99 return.

Hi Guys,

Can somebody please tell me what plane will be operating for flight TOM645 on Saturday?
We are returning from Puerto Plata to Birmingham tomorrow and want to request a specific seat but wanted to check if the plane is the same model as the one we flew out on before we do?

Also am i right in assuming it will be the return journey for the plane used for flight TOM644 earlier that day?

Thanks in advance guys :tup

Hack3tt,

Your flight is operated by the same aircraft type as your outbound; Boeing 767-300/ER from the former First Choice fleet. Your outbound flight 2 weeks ago was operated by G-OOBL. Your flight tomorrow should be operated by sister aircraft G-OOBK. These are identical. The aircraft comes in from Orlando Sanfod (TOM804/5) before coming out to puck you up from Birmingham (TOM644). You'll be pleased to know all is on time at the moment.

I have booked flights to Marsa Alam with Thomson travelling October 2009. Am I able to prebook specific seats or only have seating together option? We are travelling with a 6 year old Thanks

dwaugh,

You have two options; pre-bookable seating together or 'select your seat', ie book specific seat numbers. The latter is £6 per person per flight (£12 return). More details on Thomsons website.

dwaugh,

You need to give them a call to book specific seats, details in my post above. They removed the online facility for booking specific seats last year due to the merger.

dwaugh, I have just booked specific seats with Thomson (flying in 4 weeks), I had to pay first for "seats togethor" (which I had done when originally booking holiday) and then 4 weeks before departure rang Thomson Airways and paid £10 return per passenger to book specific seat numbers. I know it all more expense but we wanted window seats and didn't fancy being in the 4 seats in the middle. Have a good holiday :)

Hi Dazbo, I was on another forum looking for specific information on the Hotel I am going to next year, and whilst I was there looked under flight information, and looked at some of the posters questions and the answers given, I must say the answers are nowhere near as in depth as you give, so glad I came to you first. :tup

Hi folks.

For those flying late July/August...

Have just booked specific seats for my August flight to Sanford. Rang today on the off chance and was told they'd literally just loaded the seat plans for Aug. Cost for 4 pax was £40.80 return (80p being the cc charge). Had a very helpful customer service rep who has now emailed me the seat confirmation.

Thanks for the heads-up. I've just called & chosen my seats for outward 29/7 & return 12/8. Being quick out of the blocks thanks to you I was the first to select on that flight so I had the run of the cabin!
Cost was £10 per head plus card fee of either 2% for credit card or £2 for debit card, so for the majority it's cheapest to pay be credit card.

Have a good one!

Hi Floridafan,

Thanks for the thumbs up!

Just phoned Thomson again and managed to get our seats booked.

Charged £10 per seat and 60p on card (Mastercard)

Thanks again, and have a good holiday.

No probs guys. I'm a born worrier so I really like to know where I'm sitting and that my kiddies will be sitting with me (wouldn't want to inflict them on anyone else, either ). Glad you're all booked

rm2242,

It'll be one of G-OOBA, G-OOBG (in NCL at the moment), G-OOBH, G-CPEU (in Cardiff at moment) or G-CPEV. G-BYAX/Y have recently had wingletsfitted from the former TOM fleet, I know G-BYAY is in LGW at the moment. They are all the same apart from the Recaro's so it makes little difference!
