thank you so much for taking the time to reply to me. Have you been on this plane, if so do you know if its a nice one. Is it noisy on take off. Thank you for all your time
Thanks Darren, I hate it at the airport waiting to see if you are sat together.
Yes I Have Been On This Type Of Aircraft Many, They Are Very Reliable. All Aircraft Are Fairly Noisey On Take Off But The Boeing 757 Is No Noiser Than Other Aircraft In The Same Catogory, eg (Airbus A320)

Christen W you can book seat numbers by phoning Thomson 4 weeks before outbound departure cost £12.00 return you may also have to pay for seats together.

The RB211-535 powered 752's are actually a little louder than the A320 (CFM56: 94.6dB / V2500: 96.6dB) on take off, but then they are more powerful aircraft and of a slightly older generation. You'll not notice any difference inside the cabin. They're still quieter than the likes of MD80's and even some small business jets. The older Learjet 35's are unbelievably noisy on take-off, louder than a 747-400 (103.4 dB) at take off power although nothing touches good old Concorde (~120dB!). The Booeing 777-200 with the mightly GE90's are quiet considering their size (97.8db). The A380-800 has got to be the quietest giant.

thank you again, for all your information i really appreciate it.
We are flying from Birmingham to Fuerteventura 26 Aug flight no (TOM7630) could you tell me whether it's the 3-3 seating like it was last year and whether it's an ex-FC plane.
Thanks Marie
Are Thomson Airways 757-200 the 235 or 187 seat versions.
The flight is set to be operated on a boeing 757-200 aircraft, which is a 3-3 config. The flight number is TOM7360 just incase you diddnt know. I am unable to tell you if its EX-FCA or EX-TOM as I cannot find the information needed but im sure someone else will be able to get you that information.
Thanks
Z.J.C
Am considering whether we have seat back IFE to entertain youngest daughter or whether we'll have to pack something.
Flights are TOM530 Manchester to Dalaman 23/07/09
thanks
Thanx for that Z.J.C apologies for my error in flight code as well.
Your Flight (TOM530) Will Be Operated By A Boeing 757-200, These Have Overhead Screens Not Seat Back Entertainment

As from Wiki but basically they help reduce the drag a plane creates which reduces the forces against the plane and saves fuel making it more efficient and reducing a cost.
