I am considering a A/I to eygpt DIY, I could do the oct half term for under £2000 all in and if the £ makes a better recovery against the $ the price will fall.

My main trouble troops is I haven't got any kids prices to take off and I think the prices are going to stay high for me. I still think after this intital rush because so many people have been waiting so long for the hols to go on sale, the sells will slow, because people don't have the money they asking for a holiday, plenty of people hurting out there with the recession.

o no im dreading it when we come to the stage of having to pay adult prices for the kids,it really bumps up your holiday dont it
keeping my fingers crossed you find something for a good price tommorow,if not like you say it might be best of waiting till it dies down abit
let me know how you get on tommorow if you book anything

I will troops but if I don't see anything I will look again after my holiday in august, the sells slow down then there will be price reductions. Seen it plenty of times before, £1000 A/I suddenly dropped to £650.

i'm booked :cheers

not going to CDS anymore because TC wanted £1300 for 2 adults + 1 child for a week, that was with a FREE child space! I've paid that for a fortnight!!!

So I went into the local store for their late opening tonight and asked the girl to price me something somewhere with theme parks etc (something for my sis to do at nights, and the other half of course) and she came back with Hotel Oasis Park in Salou (had been looking at this one earlier but was too expensive!). She laughed, got the manager, they went through 3 brochures and 2 online systems, and came back and told me that it is £801 for 2 adults and 1 child (going free, child age up to 16 years) for a week HB in June next year...£400 less than the online price! Result...I'm chuffed to bits!

I went into my local First Shop shop with my daughter today about her holiday to Spain for May 2010 and they had no brochures to give her as they have not been delivered to the shop yet but gave her a quote off their system.

i booked on line with thomsons to can picafort. Got good flights from local airport half board for two weeks at spring bank holiday. Four adults three kids. Cos my mum decided to come with us we got two free kids places. Anyway when i went to put card details in it said " while you have been booking the price has risen by 154 pound". Outrageous. I rang them and they said the best they could do was knock 40 quid off. I dithered a bit but then booked it cos was worried that it would go up again. Paid 2899 including 140 quid upgrade for two sea view rooms. Am hoping have done the right thing cos usually browse portland and direct holidays but their systems not showing next years prices yet.

Ah well tis booked now :cheers

I am so shocked I have just been onto the co-op travel site and priced the same holiday that I booked yesterday with Thomas cook and its £704 more for the exact same holiday without insurance, glad I booked when I did, I did not think it would be that much more.
