i noticed at Orlando we were also in the queue with people flying back to gatwick....
how awful for you :rofl

You will see kiosks in the check-in area to allow those who have not yet checked in on line to do so at the airport. Once completed you will find separate check-in desks for each class of cabin, plus also a separate area for DIY Check-In (those dropping off bags having checked in on line).

Thanks for the replys. When your in the queue with other people for other flights, it does make you wonder if your in the right one.... lol

some more bad news ;-(
Virgin Atlantic are reducing their baggage allowance for PE and Upper Class passangers from September 23rd 2009
http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb/passengerinformation/baggage/newpolicy.jsp

PE goes from 2 X 32KGs per passenger to the same as Economy at 2X23KG
UC goes from 3 X 32KG to 3 X 23KG per passenger.

What this mans is that if now you have one suitcase of say, 25Kg, you will have to take two cases to acheive that amount, not good for families and single passengers travelling with children.

colemanj,

Welcome onboard :tup
Please supply flight numbers when requesting flight information as there's often several flights. You're presumably on the VS9119/20 (9W119/20) from Heathrow? This is a codeshare and is infact operated by Jet Airways using a Boeing 777-300/ER.

Denny Crane,

It does look indeed like a decrease for those two cabin classes.

Like the way Virgin is using the reason for change to make it more understandable :que

Hi Darren,

I apologise if I have asked this question before, brain cells aren't what they once where seeing as I'm nearly 40 :)

I will be travelling to Montego Bay on the 22nd December, flight number VS065 and then on 7th January I will be flying from Kingston to LGW on flight number VS070. Could you please let me know which planes I will be on as there is no information on V-Flyer.

Many thanx

Hi

Does anyone know if Virgin Premium economy From gatwick to orlando has wi fi connection or is it only for upper class?
Flying out 20th July this year

Many thanks :)
Reply
Not even Upper Class has wi fi connection.
AFAIK its only on Virgin america flights within the uSA.

Gatwick Upper Class does has in seat power for laptops and ipods, thats about it

Denny Crane is correct, only Virgin America aircraft are fitted with Wifi, however I beleive the mainline fleet are to receive wifi by the end of Q2 2009 (August).

It's nice to be able to post some positive feedback. Flew back from Cuba with Virgin last Thursday landing at Gatwick and one of the cases had received a very bad bash (probably at Havana) which made a dent in one corner. Reported it immediately in the baggage hall, received a phonecall at home about it while I was at work on Wednesday, returned the call yesterday and the replacement case was delivered this morning (Friday). The case that was damaged was at least 4 years old and no longer in production and the replacement is as close a match as they could get and is of the same quality.

Hi I want to go back to Orlando Aug 2010, we have either flown with Virgin Or last time we went 2 years ago Travel City, Who I must say where fine . I have been quoted prices for Orlando £ 769 flying with Virgin from Manchester per Adult with Kenwood Travel, Does anyone know if this is reasonable or not or should I wait for Virgin to release their flights?
Or should I book a package with thomson or the likes ?

Why not get a quote from travel city (as they are now owned by Virgin) and Virgin holidays direct and see what they come out at?
