absolutely yes, much cheaper in Goa, have had some work done with Dr Ambert Pimenta in Calangute, fillings, laser whitining and he was much cheaper than home.he has a web site here.
also the opticians are excellent, we always use Romano Opticians in Calangute, very professional and excellent value

no idea on dentists, but as for opticians I am not as sure as some others are.
We bought some last year and were initially well suited with quality and price, however, my varifocals are not as good now as they were when I got them.
Either my eyes have deteriorated substantially over the last 12 months ot the prescription was not correct.
to be honest I will get my next ones in the uk.

Hi i would reccomend Dr Hubert gomes in Margao in the south, he is a local dentist and came highly reccomended to me from this site, i have had a lot of work done including implants and am very happy. Hope this helps. Gel

i would definatly go to danguie on the top of the high street in calangute,bought 2 pairs for my son who's very fussy! he has a straight script,but mine is more complex, i got the 3 pairs mine were also verifocl,paid just over £100 I also took apair of reactolites i got of him 3 years ago as they had gone abit loose,he remembered me buying them(have worn them nonstop in thailand and last week in teneriffe)so pleased with his service took the glasses bought on the high street at home,that have to be fitted again&again back demanded the£300 paid back and got it Result Manxcat

We also used Dangui opticians in Calangute. No complaints and very cheap

Hi I can also reccommend Dr Gomes. Nice guy and a good dentist. Has a very busy surgery with lots of wealthy indians that use him. I had 11 root canals and good bridgework done for less than a grand. Quoted £2400 at a coastal dentists. Treatment was thorough and quick and am going to have a frew bits done this year as well. I would say that you need to ensure you are numb before he starts work though. I had terrible top teeth and now I smile all the time.

Lets hope that the unfortunate Dr Gomes has good insurance?
