just got back from florida,we have been there many times,but noticed this year there was a lot of people being bitten by the red fire ants and mosquitos including myself and family.these bites are very unpleasent and painful and causes big lumps and swelling around the bitten area, my advice, if you are going there this year, is try and wear enclosed shoes and cover up where possible, and take some repellent with you and some allergy medication,as we found it expensive there
