murphy24,

Thomson Airways allocate seating the day before using a best fit computer model taking in to account those that have meals booked (short haul), pre-booked seating together and selected their seat. As they are already allocated at check-in and can't be changed, you can't request seats I'm afraid. Details of selecting your seats are on Thomsons website. You'll get a meal approximately 2 hours after take off followed by a snack 90 minutes before landing.

Hello everyone, been reading this thread all morning, it's very informative. Flying with Thomson from Newcastle on 6th September, flight TOM670, any idea what plane it might be? Thank you

the 0871 numbers for medical services are
Thomson package holidays: 0871 231 4691 (Calls cost 10p per minute plus network extras)
Thomson Airways (flight only): 0871 231 4787 (Calls cost 10p per minute plus network extras)

I've just checked on "saynoto0870" and they are listing 024 7628 2828 as a local number for "travel extras" - just ask to be put through to someone in medical/special services.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(edit to add phone no.)

Hello,
Well we finally arrived home safe eventually!
I thought all was going to fail again when the fueling truck at Cancun broke but luckily we got off and the pilot managed to get us back in a good time.
Sadly, the plane was just as cramped as before and I have terrible back pain from being cramped but at least this crew were happy and friendly unlike the other.
I am still rather suspicious as the crew were all telling me different why the aircraft had been changed and suspiciously there was only 1 row of seats free and there should have been more.
The cabin crew said that they hated flying on stand by planes because it always puts a downer on the flight especially when there was a delay.
One cabin crew member told me that firstly the normal aircraft went tech due to a flap issue and the stand by the brought in also broke so they had to bring in G-OBYE from the hanger. Suspiciously I found boarding cards on my seat for a flight from Burgas to Manchester on the 4th August so its slightly confusing where G-OBYE had really been.
Anyway I had a fantastic time in Cancun at the Riu they can not do enough for you.
Ill give you more detailed review on the flight with some pictures once I have finished unpacking.

Hi

We are travelling NEW-PMI on Sunday, 8th at 0010 and returning the following Sunday, 16th, at 0450. Was wondering if anyone can advise which type of aircraft (or even which one) Thomson will use for this journey?

Meva, there are 40 rows on the First Choice 767's and all of the have their toilets at the back so your only a few rows away(you may change your mind about liking the back after a few hours!)

Hello

I am looking at booking seats tomorrow. There are three couples travelling to SFB on 08 Oct from Man. We are on flight number TOM 114 - I believe it will be an ex-First Choice plane. Can you tell me how many rows there are in Premium and if the AB side of the plane starts at row 1 or 2? Want to be able to put feet under the seat in frnt rather than have a wall.

Also do you know wher the flight is due on from before our flight and what is the eta of the previous flight?

Thanks

Refer to my post to Sunaddict at the top of the page. The rows start at 1. Your aircraft should be coming in from Montego Bay, Jamaica (TOM172/3).
