Do you know where about the villa is? Torre isn't too far to walk, but obviously it depends on which part you are setting out from and which part of Torre you are heading to!
You can walk along the sea front all the way into Torre. It's nice and flat, unlike Nerja and there are little ramps every now and then for wheelchairs, so hopefully you will find it a pleasant walk. There is usually a lovely atmosphere along the paseo in Torre with craft stalls and various things going on. Often there are trampolines set up. There seems to be different things going on at different times so it's difficult to say for sure what you will find, but it is a great area. The town itself isn't as pretty as Nerja but it is more popular with Spanish tourists.
If you go in the other direction to Algarrobo, the paseo which is much smaller, is also popular in the evenings. There are small excercise stations dotted around as well as ping pong tables, though I think you need to take your own bats and balls. Sometimes there are live music concerts.
Algarrobo is very family orientated and kids just seem to enjoy being out and about.
I'd be interested in hearing what you think of the area. I live in the area and love it and although Nerja is lovely for an occasional visit, I would much rather be in Caleta. Eating out is far cheaper too!
Have a great time.
I've just edited this to say that I posted a few photos of Claleta beach in a thread about suggestions for a single in October. Not the best photos, but they show how lovely and uncrowded the beaches are.
