What a great thread!!
Can anyone tell me what type of plane we will have on our flight to Sharm TOM632/3 26th December ?
Many thanks
It's scheduled to be a 757.
I have followed your forum for some time and have learnt some great stuff from all the knowledgeable people who use the site, thank you.
We are going to Cancun from Gatwick on TOM076 at 9.15 on the 5th Dec with a premium seat upgrade, can you please tell me if these seats have laptop power and if so what type of connection is needed?
Is the premium cabin always full, flown twice on First Choice trips upgraded and it was full both times?thankyou
Peter
TOM632 is set to be operated on a Boeing 757-200 Wingleted (this makes little difference) over the last few months it has been operated on a Boeing 767-300 but I wouldn't expect this for winter due to the decrease in passenger demand.
More information on the aircraft can be found on our What Aircraft Guide
Thanks

I should have asked the second question slightly differently, are industry wide premium economy cabins usually full, bearing in mind the recession?
Peter
Charter airlines I would say there Premium Cabins do fill up, its the schedules carriers who are having trouble with there Premium Economy such as BA and Virgin.

Thank you z.j.c.
Please would you let us know what aircraft we will be fliying on. I understand it will be an Ex First Choice 767/300/ER? Please would you also let me known where it will be flying in from for both flights.
We will be in the Premium cabin and have booked specific seats in AB. Please would you confirm that seats 1AB will be the first row on this aircraft.
Great site and thanks for your help.
TOM022/023 will in fact be operated on a ex-First Choice Boeing 767-300 aircraft. The flight comes in from Male on flight number TOM189.
Row 1AB will be the first seats on the aircraft right at the front of the premium cabin.

There will be four of us flying out from Gatwick to Funchal in Feb 2010 (2 on 15th and 2 on 22nd), with all 4 of us returning Funchal to Gatwick on 1st March (my birthday!!).
Can anyone please advise us as to the best company through whom to buy our tickets (we've previously used Travel Republic but they don't allow you to pre-book and pay for extra legroom seats (only by raising a Customer Service Request after you've already paid, and then it's only a request and not a guarantee / paid-for option), whereas booking direct via Thomsonfly.com this is possible, at a cost of £40 return for each passenger.
We'd also like to know what aircraft type we're likely to be using please..........and with this is mind, what constitutes an 'extra legroom' seat.......is this always an emergency exit one?
Flight codes are TOM 4106 ex LGW and TOM 4107 FNC-LGW
Many thanks in advance!

On some flights on the 757-200 if the medical seats are not full they do allow these as extra legroom seats. Also they are not all exit seats sometimes there is a row in the rear cabin where any passengers can sit. All airlines have to provide at least 1 row of extra legroom seats that are not exits seats.
Like Glower mentions your best to give the airline a call direct.

I'm a bit confused though, as when we made the same journey earlier this year, the only row which had emergency exit extra legroom seats was row 1 A/B/C on the left hand side immediately adjacent to the front entrance of the plane - there were no middle or rear exits.
In 2008 we made the same journey again and row 12 B/C/D/E seats were emergency exit seats. I think this may have been a 757-200 plane...........but this year, 2009, I believe it was a 737-300??!!
In 2008 we flew from Luton, in 2009 we flew from Gatwick as Luton was more expensive........but apparently there are now no longer any flights LTN-FNC in winter season??!!
I've tried getting definitive answer from Thomson Airways but neither they, nor their timetables, are able to identify for certain the aircraft type for this flight..........Thomsons themselves state that they will not have sight of the aircraft seating plans until December 2009 for Feb 2010 flights..........is this true??
Where do you manage to find your info from.........or is it an internal source?!!
I have Thomson flight schedules in front of me but sometimes they do change them nearer the time. As its only September they may still make adjustments on the aircraft depending on passenger number but usually they keep it the same.

Can anyone tell me what plane is it likely to be on Wed Sept16th from Manchester TOM 556 to Marsa Alam.
TOM556 will be operated on a Boeing 757-200 aircraft. Seating configuration will be 3-3.

Many thanks z.j.c much appreciated.
Off to SFB from NCL on TOM 760 in three weeks, on what I believe will be an ex First Choice 767. Can any one tell me if seats 16A & B are in front of the wing and have a window. I ask because my wife has already pre booked these so I just want to make sure they are worth the cash.
thanks in advance.
