I feel bad as I still have not posted any photo's of the emerald
I keep trying but have not been able to do so.
I will contact the mods again and if worse mail luci some
Andy
Glad to hear you did book.
I am sure you will love it, as mentioned before I always take a lower cabin, just because I prefer it, but my family have been upgraded for free when doing that.
It actually can add up to quiet a saving.
I am booking for October 2005 in the new year when the prices usually drop by about £200.
I may still go to the croatia one again as I always enjoy it when I do.
Andy
We always sail on the Emerald once or twice each year. We have been eyeing up that cruise for a while now because it goes to Beruit and Tobruk.
Am looking to book in January for the new year discounts. I never go last minute because i have to ensure I have time to save both the holiday money and the casino money
Andy
We booked the Emerald yesterday for the Aegean and Adriatic, only problems were, we had to pay for the all inclusive (was free this year). Most of the outside cabins were taken, only one on the 4th deck the rest were 3rd and below. Looks like it is getting very popular, only six months to go.
Sorry to hear you had to pay for the all inclusive.
I always wait for january when the deals start up.
I am looking to book the beruit one in October and perhaps another week trip round croatia again as it always entertains me
Andy
I think Thomson have changed their policy slighty for next year, where the all inclusive is a limited offer, last time you had to book by end of January to secure it.
Michael
Thomson have continually changed the all inclusive package especially for the emerald, the idea I suppose is to get everyone on it as it is easier for them to administer.
Did you know that you can upgrade on board?
They don't advertise it but you can.
I often talk to my travel reps and they always advise to go in january, they also say its worth my while to go last minute but of course, I have to plan my leave well in advance if I want two weeks.
I will hopefully be booking in a couple of weeks and will let you know
Andy
Some bugger booked my cabin 116 which i have every year (twice a year) so I was gutted.
As the Emerald is now popular especially for their unusual cruises at the end of the year, I will now be booking June or July for the following year to get all the upgrades, which is worth around £800 for a couple.
Anyone else going?
Be interested if James and his family are going!!
Luci, you going?
Happy cruising! kate
I'm also going to try and get a trip in may last minute on the Emerald

Has anyone else booked this cruise?
we are booked for the above Cruise n Stay on 8th July, staying at the Corfu Chandris on the second week. Any updates and tips on things to see and do on both the cruise and in Corfu would be appreciated. This is our second cruisee, the first being in the Carribean with Celebrity on the Millenium for our Silver Anniversary.
Sorry- can't help with information, but as we are taking our first "emerald" cruise on 29th July, I hope you have a great time, and look forward to some last minute tips when you return!
If you could post your ports of call on the cruise our members may be able to help with info on each place.

Anyway, we've been on board twice before - we have done the Aegean cruise twice now (that's the Kusadasi, Santorini, Rhodes, Athens etc itinerary) and loved it. We booked the Ancient Wonders cruise last weekend on a bit of a whim. I can't wait, we've been to Egypt already this year and I'm really looking forward to going back to Cairo. Hello to anyone else going on this cruise!
Phil.
It will be our 8th / 9th cruise on the Emerald.
You never know, if you have been on in the last 6 years we may have even been on at the same time.
Andy

Hello, I'm a new member and just looking for some up to date information on the Emerald. We've been on board twice before, most recently about 12 months ago. The other half decided to take a look on Holidays Uncovered after we booked the latest cruise (Ancient Wonders on the 14th Oct 05) and she's now a little worried. I've looked there too and to be honest it looks to me like you can't please all the people all the time and she's worrying about nothing, but I thought I'd ask here - have standards slipped any on the Emerald in the last 24 months in anyone here's opinion?
Thanks for your replies,
Phil.

And have spoken to some of the crew who are back on board this year (some have been on for the last 6 years so you will recognise some faces).
I have not noticed too much difference.
Not since it went to a greek flag anyway.
Happy to chat more
