I just don't understand why the rules are different in different countries...does anyone?
Because it all depends on which visitors they want to encourage and which they want to discourage and what reciprocal agreements are in place. It's the same here, there's one rule for visitors from another EU country, another for those coming from the Commonwealth, another for those who have a grandparent that was from the UK, another for those who don't, yet another for those from British Dependencies etc.

And of course those visiting should be aware that there are differences between countries and cultures .. after that's a major reason for leaving the shores of the UK, and things have to be compared as being different from home rather than in terms of what's right and what's wrong! It all depends on the viewpoint you have, and that also depends where you are coming from (in cultural terms)!
Eggs are 40 rupees for 6 now....so i'm on hunger strike!

Last year in Benaulim eggs were 2 rurees per egg, and they had only just gone up.
Let me know if i'm getting ripped off.
Eggs are now 40 rps for 12 - were 30rps when we came in September - went up to 32 - 34 - 38 and now 4o ( not my body measurements).
Was told the same as you that the price will double by Christmas - as we do not buy chicken how much is that now - why should eggs go up so much ?
