We are travelling to the HV Sarigerme on 3rd July this year. Can anyone advise us what currency is best to take with us to this complex??? I've been to Marmaris before and remember that most places preferred you to pay in Sterling. Obviously the HV is AI so only really needing money for excursions and such like.
Any info from people who've already been would be most helpful

there is fridges in the room there was 4 bottles of water in there when we arried last year but not stocked up daily

the holiday village will accept english and turkish money but i would advise not to buy anything on site as it is very expensive they were charging £1.50 for a pkt of crisps last year

Travelling to Holiday Village in July and patientley waiting for first lot of reports coming back from the start of the season, if the reports are bad or there is illness again I am seriously considering cancelling or asking First Choice to find me an alternative holiday, is anyone else in same position?
We too are going in July but are not worried in the slightest about finding any problems there. This will be our second visit to this hotel and found the whole place to be fab. Try not to worry.

Thanks John, reassuring that you had a good time before and no problems. Im just worried that my kids fall ill, we are alwaya careful whilst abroad and have been to Turkey many times but not this resort, after reading some of the horror stories from last year I can't help but worry. Fingers crossed that all will be well.
We have just booked a late deal to this hotel, leaving on May 15th for a week...

Just to let you know from Summer 2011, the site is being divided, the HV will just be the Palace side, the Tropical side will return to Joy Hotels for their own use, there will also be some upgrades made, addition of further activities, new pirate ship etc.
Sounds like what they did when it was Iberostar Tropical. Some good deals were around the first season that happened.
Anyone recently returned from this hotel? Would love to hear updates..

May 1st is usually the first in-take of the season. We arrived on May 12th in 2007 and it was still all fresh for the season ahead 
For anyone wanting reassurance, I have recently read reviews on 'other' (cough*trip advisor*cough) sites that give excellent accounts of the Hotel and from people who have just come back the past week or two..
I am no longer concerned about anything, and am looking forward to getting there on Saturday!

We're travelling to the first choice holiday village on 20 june with 2 toddlers. has anyone got any helpful tips please for us? Anything helpful you can think of would be great. Got a couple of questions apart from that! :-
* Does mini-bar get stocked up with bottled water?
* Is the beach ok for small children (I'm aware its not glorious white sand)
* Does the jacuzzi double room have the DVD player in as advertised - would be really useful to amuse children during rest periods!
* Are there any trips out suitable for a family with small children

going to HV 6 weeks today and counting, some really good and encouraging reports coming through which is good news as i was considering cancelling. I have seen quite a few comments that the a la carte restaurants are very busy and you are not guaranteed a table even if you try and book very early on in the holiday, we will be there July and if it is a problem now then it will be even worse then. Has anyone who has been before able to confirm if this is the case. Many Thanks.
