I have been looking at Thomson holidays for winter 2011 and it shows a flight from Doncaster/Sheffield to La Romana but only 1 date 13 March does this mean its a special flight seems funny unless its a charter.
Reply
qatarman,

It's probably a cruise charter.

The UK-LRM are for Thomson Destiny, they operate from LGW and MAN weekly and a third and fourth aircraft roam around the uk and do DSA,NCL,CWL,EMA, EDI etc. Some airports see them more regularly such as BHX and EMA

They operate for example DSA-LRM-EDI and then in a week or fortnight the same flight operates NCL-LRM-DSA to take the Doncaster passengers home and so on. The P&O flights operate like this also.

Good morning to all you Thomsonfly experts !
In my desire to understand all things Thomson :- as far as you are allowed to say what goes on at Mariner Street Swansea - do they allocate seats and deal with airport assistance requests at that office or is it just an additional one to Luton which may do or is able to do the same thing ? Likewise and this I know is slightly off topic :offtop but does is that also the main centre for prebooking cabins on cruises ? What Thomsonfly activities are run from Manchester - is that just "complaints" please ? Thanks

Hi everybody,

I am looking forward to fly on a former First Choice 767 hopefully during the winter season

It Is Looking Good For You, :tup The Flight Is Due To Be Operated By A ex First Choice Boeing 767-300

(This Is However Subject To Change For Maintenance Or Other Reasons)

Hi Gower,

thanks for your answer. I hope I'm not too annoying, but I still can't decide between MLE and SFB.
Could you please check this one as well:
flight TOM60 on March 7th 2010 from LGW to SFB returning with flight TOM61 on March 14th 2010 from SFB to LGW ?
Thanks in advance.

SeekingFCA,

MLE and SFB are a bit different! Personally I'd go for MLE. Is the decision based on which aircraft is operating that route? I can think of several reasons to visit both places other than just the aircraft used to those destinations. I'd fly in anything (within reason!) for 2 weeks in the Maldives. TOM060/1 are a former FCA as well.

I am flying out from Manchester to Alicante on the 18 December and returning on the 26 December Tom 2674/Tom2675. If anyone knows which aircraft is being used for these flights it would be much apreciated.

christine w,

Are you sure it's the 18/26th December and not 19/26? MAN-ALC-MAN (TOM2674/5) are operated by a Boeing 757-200.

Sorry Daren it is the 19 December, I got mixed up as we finish work on that day and are hoping to Stay overnight at the airport. Thanks for replying about aircraft, you are such a big help to us all on here Thanks

Hi Darren,

thanks for your answer.
It is the destination but I'm not sure whether there is more to do than just watersports in MLE ,
so I would probably vote for SFB (and their funparks) ...
