After all my concerns about buying a real tree and the mess they make what is the only complaint Mrs Kiltie had........... she wasn't there to help choose it
Kiltman. I just knew it! How is a man meant to judge whether a tree is the right shape and size?

Oh that part was EASY, while I had a nice hot cup of tea the 2 ladies who were selling the trees pulled them out from the piles and held them up and twirled them for me and gave me their opinion, so after the 25th tree (I did count them) I decided to take the 4th tree they had shown me

I think they were glad to just get rid of me for some reason

No doubt I will hear what Christmas is like this year as 3 of my friends are off to PEK for Christmas and New Year, their first time in Tinisia. Hope they enjoy it or I will be in deep trouble for raving on about it to them.
I can believe they decorate for the xmas hols , as when we were there in October the Irish Bar had a "do for for Halloween and i was really surprised withe the amount of people that obviously took the costumes with them , as Aslemma says "business is business" . For all of you and those that are going for the holidays have a great time
Hello, Llindy. So you were at home all the time just reading all the input! I thought maybe you had gone back to Tunisia. Seriously though, weather has been awful and I also feel like you, it would be great to be there. I should be writing some cards today but here I am at my hobby while my other half is watching football. I must be quite sad really as I spent last night checking out prices for next year and they're not cheap at the moment. Our hotel was great this holiday, but a bit too far out. We love a nice walk after dinner, maybe along a prom but that wasn't possible. Wonder if there is anywhere like that in any resort in Tunisia? Guess what I do when I ger near the tv remote control? Holiday channels of course. Very sad.
Hi all, I'm so pleased the latest Tunisian recruits enjoyed their holidays. I've just this minute booked flights with BA for 22nd April. After the last episode I'm not telling the family yet, but a Saturday flight, at a convenient time, for £138.50 including c/c charge won't hang around long I'm sure. The cheapest from Stansted was £204 so even if I factor in £50 return for the Gatwick Flyer door to door I'll still be in pocket, with no hassle and with 23kg hold luggage plus very generous hand luggage allowance as well. When do you think I should break the news to the family? Do you think 21st April would be OK?
I was thinking along the same lines Graham. Problem is I might be missed and they'd panic. If one of them phones me two days running and don't get an answer the jungle drums start drumming.

Yes Graham, I've certainly got to go back, and despite what the family say it could have happened anywhere. I actually had much more support and help there than I would have had somewhere like Spain or Portugal, where I know none of the language and have no friends. Nevertheless, I don't think I'll mention it to them for a coupe of months at least. Cataract operation tomorrow so let's at least get that over.
Good luck with the operation tomorrow and as I mentioned before you will notice a huge difference
Good luck with the operation tomorrow. I'm sure you will see a big difference.
That's what I'm worried about Graham, I'll see the dust and wrinkles - ignorance is bliss.
Good luck with the op tomorrow.
Thanks my friends. I should only be in hospital for a few hours and one of my sons and my daughter are taking me and collecting me, then another son and d.i.l. are doing dinner for me tomorrow night so I'm being spoilt.
