I have checked the transfer cost with http://www.transfers4u.com and a coach transfer is a total of £7.88 return for you both to / from your hotel and a private taxi is £26.08, again this is the total return cost for the two of you, so it works out cheaper prebooking and using them.

Weather wise you are looking at temps in the low 20's during the day and cooler (10 ish) at night, with a chance of some rain.

Hi Marlou, I stayed in the Riadh Palms in February 2008 and you can read my report on here. Regarding your specific queries, there is a small suipermarket a few hundred yards from the hotel at the end of a parade of shops etc. There are also plenty of bars, including the English Bar (a real misnomer, but football etc. available) in the area. The map below will show you the hotel's location (17 down from the top on the right). It is a reasonable walk down to the Medina, train and metro stations etc. or taxis are cheap (remember to 'negotiate' a price).

The weather can be unpredictable - so far they have had a lovely warm winter, but that isn't guaranteed. I'm back in Sousse towards the end of April, but so far have only booked my flight and will decide on an hotel later.

Any other queries don't hesitate to come back here. You might also like to have a look at some Tunisian/Arabic words and phrases which can stop the locals thinking it's your first visit. I haven't looked at the complete list today, but a very useful one is "Ma andee faloos" (I've got no money")

Thanks for that. I think we've decided against it for now. I've read a few reports saying the weather won't be too hot in March.
