I am staying at this complex in last week in February, heard a few not so good reports about the place, has anyone been there recently that can put my mind at rest - I am going there with two small children......any info welcome?[/b]
I stayed here 2 weeks ago and found it OK.I wanted a quiet holiday and that is what I got.We were in Block B on the 1st floor.I didnt use any of the hotels facilities so I didnt do a review.The pool is the biggest I have ever seen and even the smaller quiet pool is large.I did manage a few hours each day sitting in the sun but every time we chose a spot someone came and sat on the sunbeds right next to us even though there were about 100 empty ones!.Its in a good location at the top of the high street just a short walk from the shops bars and resturants.All the balconts face either east or south so get the sun part of the day.My only gripe was having to pay underoccupancy which made it more expensive than half board for 2 people.
hi .have read on another site that the lobos bahia has been demolished !!! can anybody out there shed some light on this please.we are due to go too lobos in august this year and have been notified of the refurbishment going on,which should be completed by the end of june.but when i read that it had been demolished i panicked a bit.so if anyone knows anything can they please post and set my mind at rest.have asked t/a and they said its just being refurbished.thanks for replies 
All the reviews I have read about this place says the same, that it is being refurb... So if I was you i would'nt worry, Its a great place and i cannot see them knocking down lobos bahia!

Do you think i have any cause for concern about the building work / renovation that is taking place
I have spoken to the Holiday firm and they tell me the hotel is due to reopen on 28th June
My only worry is i am taking my 4 year old daughter and dont want the hassle of any problems when i am over there

hi matty have been told similar by airtours.havent heard back from lobos bahia yet.will send another email at the weekend and post any reply i get.dont let it get too you i am sure all will be ok
me again have just checked my emails and i have some photos of the building work.it is the reception area that is being worked on and from the message attached to the photos work is ontime and running to schedule.have now stopped worrying and look forward to the holiday. ps if you want the photos send me your email address and i will forward them.

no probs matty.i asked for the photos on the 12th of may and got them on the 18th.the guy that took them lives in fuerteventura.the work started at the beginnig of april,so its 6 weeks since they started the work.i think he took them at the beginning of may.it does look like they are really pushing the boat out to get the work completed.the website i used too ask for the photos is http://www.fuerteventura.com theres loads of info and advice on there.hope this helps.me i am just sat back and chilling and looking forward to the holiday only 14 weeks and 3 days left
Thanks for the photos as the First Choice shop had not got a clue about the work. After a bit of fishing about she confirmed the work would finish on the 28 June 2005
