Part 1
Arrived at Manchester airport to fly Qatar airways on 3rd March. Id done the online checkin and found it all very easy. I have to say that i was very impressed with Qatar the food the staff and the flight were all excellent and i would definatly use them again.
Doha airport where i changed flights was a really nice little airport. Very clean toilets good duty free (not all that cheap)
We landed at dabolim at 3.30am and from landing to getting in the taxi was only 20 mins
very few bag snatching porters around at that hour which was a pleasant change.I got my taxi and set off for candolim excited about being back after 5 years and taking in the smells and sounds with a big daft smile on my face......... Well this being Goa and me being a disaster magnet it wasnt long till my first incident happened.
About 20 mins into the journey the Taxi got a flat tyre and we had to stop. I was a little nervous especially when my driver said he might not have his spare tyre
He was smiling and telling me NO problem and im sure we looked funny as i was trying to provide enough light with my cigarette lighter while not burning my fingers while he changed the wheel.I tried to avoid being eaten alive by mozzies and try to convince myself that the rustling in the bushes behind me wasnt an axe murderer or even worse a snake
Well after a wheel change that lewis hamiltons pit team would have been proud of we were off and i was on my way.

I was amazed that after 5 years she still remembered me. Im sure it had nothing to do with the fact that last time i was there i bought half her stall
