I got quite a few bits from the Lakeside Primark yesterday:
3 sundresses to wear during the day in black, yellow and white and blue stripes. The are strapless, stretchy and come in at your waist a bit so they are flattering. They were £4 each!
2 swimshorts for the other half for £5 each.
I also got some pjs which were £3.50 a set! They were shorts and a top.
And a floral skirt for £6.
Really chuffed! I'd never bought anything from Primark before that

Just got back from Primark, got a big pink hard shell suitcase with 4 wheels, lightweight, and so easy to move around for £28 (reduced from £35) seen similar on Tripp for £60!

Travel comfort sets with an eye mask, blanket, and inflatable pillow, all in a stylish bag which doubles as a pillow case for £4... got 4 of these, they come in black or pink.

Bikini, 2 pairs of pumps, some lovely tops and a bath robe for £5 :)

Soooooo excited here! Just found out that there's a Primark opening in our nearest town in November (9 miles away). A the moment the closest is around 20 miles away, and as I don't drive, getting there isn't easy.

We have a new Primark store in Chester so hoping that is a bit 'tidier' than the one in Birkenhead - you go in there and things are all over the floor and that puts me off. We also have a Primark in Liverpool and I will be visiting one to stock up on some winetr items.

I've only every been in one Primark store and that was the one on Oxford Street in London. I was in there max 5mins. I thought I had ended up in a Jumble Sale !! Piles of clothes all over the floor, long lines of people to pay. The one item I picked up seemed to be really badly made, though I can't comment on the general standard as I beat a hasty retreat and headed for somewhere a bit more sedate. :que

That's good news Helen. I'm sure I will make a couple of visits there although I only go there to stock up on cheap summer stuff. Don't think I've shopped there in winter before :think

Hi

What bargains have people got from Primark for their Summer 2011 holidays? I got 2 bikinis today but not tried on yet one is a 12 but not sure if the top will fit the other one is a proper sized one. one was £8 and the other £5 for top and £5 for bottom. Got 3 summer strappless beach dresses.

Not sure if everyone wil be wearng the same stuff on the beach this year though lol has this happened to you before?

I got myself a really nice top this week, cream with tiny blue flowers on it, only £5 too. It's not long enough to wear with leggings but it looks nice with my denim shorts or a pair of crop trousers. I'm not impressed with the strappy flip flops this year. Lucky I got extra ones last year to put away ;)

Got 2 gorgeous little girls dresses for my daughter. They're strappy sundresses and really floaty - perfect for 'twirling'! Look really nice on and fit really well, although I did have to buy 2 different sizes :think . £8 each. Didn't really see anything for me though, that said I really only ever look at the childrens stuff...not too keen on the ladies clothes (apart from their cheap flip flops and bikinis).

I must admit the bikinis i bought are ok but they don't feel that supportive I am a size 10 with 32e top so I bought size 12s but the tops are slightly small i'll just have to be careful lol.

:rofl

Try Primark on a quiet week day and it's a totally different experience (before anyone does a JK on me, yes I do work, very hard thank you very much). There is a one I go to and it's really good and it's never messy.

After reading this thread I thought I would pop into the Primark in town.
It resembled a jumble sale with clothes on the floor and it was packed, the sunshine must have brought people out today!
I did a U turn and will wait until they build the new one in town reputed to be costing over £2 million. :yikes

we have a primark in aberdeen it is usually very tidy and busy. in fact i prefer it to the tkmax which is always like a jumble sale, i just can't be bothered with that. :) xphx

I have to say that until they built the new one here, I wouldnt go into the old one. That one did resemble a jumble sale and I always felt that in the event of a fire we would have no chance as everything was so tightly packed together :yikes . Our new one is spread over 4 floors (John Lewis used to own the building so its a big one) and it is a very different experience completely. There are lots of staff and they are always tidying, folding or picking things up. I cant go into town and not visit Primark and buy at least one thing, am already buying new undies for hubby and daughter to take on holiday (have to have new undies for holidays :D )
