me and my 4 friends have booked in to alpha, bare in mind were all 17 and we were told that this was hotel was mostly a younger age group, seems it is close to clubs and bars, we also read some reviews and because its so close to these places, its supposed to be louad at night.
We have a young family and didnt find it too loud at night, although it is about a 3 min walk to the square so they will be ideal for you.
I would ring them up and ask them how much the deposit and the safe is. Ask whether they will take the deposit in pounds sterling, quite a lot of places will, then you won't have to bring back a load of euros.
What persuaded us to go for Alpha was the fact it's so close to the strip (as you confirmed, Dawn457) and only a short walk from the beach. The buses for the parks are also nearby as well, so I've read online. We were after a 'base' which was in the thick of it really, but not too expensive or fancy. I read what seemed to be hundreds of reviews, a mixed bag to be fair. Most people said the same thing, basic apartments in which you get what you pay for. Seems good enough for us! My only standard is that the place is clean, I can't stand grubby surroundings whatsoever!
Thanks, Colin. I'll send an email to Alpha and see if I get a reply. I emailed them a little while back requesting a lower floor rather than a higher one, and an apartment overlooking the pool/views (as apparently one side of the complex overlooks a tarmac carpark?!). They got back to me relatively quickly saying that they should be able to meet our requests which was great.
Will email shortly and update this post if I get a reply regarding deposits and safe costs.
Cheers!
Sephs
We have booked for the Alpha in October. Not stayed there before but have picked up keys for other apartments there and had a drink in their bar and used their pool. They look realy nice. In a good position for where we like to go. Thought all the apartments faced the same way - overlooking the pool. We were in Benidorm at Spring Bank (is it only 2 weeks ago?) and paid a record 100 euros deposit. They usually save the money you give them and give it you back when you check out so it usually up to you what currency you pay in. Think they have a standard charge per apt. no matter who is staying there. Don't know why they bother with the deposit as nobody checked our apt. when we left.

Nice to know someone else has booked, too. We'll be home in good time by when you're leaving so will write a review up and link you to it and answer any questions you might have. I was told one side of the complex overlooked a carpark so to request either a pool facing/view facing apartment. I emailed Alpha and they were happy to do this and really polite. I would of thought there was a standard charge - we're only young but have no intentions to destroy the place
