My dress came in the post today and I need to shorten it by about 1-2 inches. Here it is
Madmadge - I'm only 5ft and that dress I bought in Wallis is just right with a smallish heel. It wasn't petite, althugh there were a few of those there as well.

Well I have been mooching again on the net and I have found another dress this time from Matalan and at £14.00 I am going to have to buy it.

Well girls just back from Matalan and bought my dress in the Pink multi 
Good job I tried them on though as I had to get a medium not the small also they have the same handkerchief design in Green multi..........had to buy matching pink knickers as when you move its a little shear in places 
as the material is chiffon.
The dresses were not even out on show yet but I spied them on the rails in the aisle ready for the staff to put them out.

I bought a gorgeous maxi dress off e-bay last summer, it's a lovely lilac shade with flowers on it. It only cost me £10 helent did have to alter the straps slightly for me but otherwise it's perfect. I also bought a lovely grey one this year, with halter neck a navy trim at the bottom and navy around the bust area. They are so cool and comfy for summer hols
Will take a look at these at the weekend , have it also in a tribal print ,looks nice with a shrug

Im petite 5 ft 2 and size 6, I got my maxis from choice catologue all petite range, and I also got a strappy plain black one from miss selfridge 18quid,its stunning, new look ones are too long for me although Im loving my harem jumpsuit from there that I bought, also girls topshop have there sale on now and there are alot of maxis on there for half price although they will be better for 5ft 6 plus.. im gunna buy 2 from either asda or tesco.. i cant stop buying them
