christof,

Please refer to your previous replies. We won't know the specific registration until the day before. It makes little difference as they're all basically the same inside.

Tina30,

Your flights, LGW-HOG-LGW (TOM074/5) are operated by a Boeing 767-300/ER. 2G is a window seat. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Travelling to Punta Cana with Thomson Airways, from checking on the site it is operated on a ex Thomsonfly 767 with 2-4-2 config. Seat pitch is advertised as 33in, however despite searching I cannot find out what the seat width is. Can anyone help me out?

How does the width compare to the ex FCA birds, or the Thomson 757s. -

jase_31,

You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). Seat width is approximately 17.5". The ex-FCA 76W's are slightly wider at approx 18" and the 757 approx. 17.2".

Hello all

I am so sorry if this has been posted before but I am the worlds worst flyer and am beginning to go into panic mode!!

We fly out from Manchester on Friday morning to Sharm at 10:05 I think and I would love to know what plane we can expect. There are 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 kids and I'm worried that we will be seperated on the flight.

Welcome onbord :tup
Please quote flight numbers when requesting aircraft information if possible as there are often multiple flights . It ensures we get the correct information for you. MAN-SSH-MAN (TOM784/5) are operated by a Boeing 757-200 (winglets). You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). If you haven't pre-booked seating together or selected your seats, there is always a risk of being seperated. However, seat allocation is done the day before the flight using a best fit model taking in to account those that have pre-booked / selected their seat, booked meals etc. The system will try and allocate seats to ensure as many under the same booking will be sat together as possible. Due to aircraft seating, it's inevitable some won't be sat together. That's where the option of pre-booked seating and selecting your seat comes in, for peace of mind. You'll hopefully be fine though.

Thanks so much Darren, you are star!! :tup Can I just ring the airline to prebook the seats?

Louisejane,

You can either call them, or the easiest way is to do it online.

Hi Darren,

New HT member here :)
We fly from LGW to SFB on the 27th of November with FC/TF TOM046

I know Thomson are having a lot of problems due to the damaged 767, but do you have any idea if this flight is scheduled to use the standby 'rescue' aircraft covering the damaged 767 (short haul configured im told) or a regular Long haul 767 with Premium seating?

Hi Darren, I've just read Jase's post re their flight to Punta Cana being an ex Thomson plane...........we're flying to Punta Cana too on TOM070/071.........I was hoping the plane would be ex FCA purely down to the seatback entertainment not being touch screen (which I think it is on the ex Thomson planes) ............perhaps you can advise please :)

I was driven crazy on one flight with touch screen entertainment, the person behind was only playing games........but it felt like he was prodding me in the back every 10 seconds for 6 hours .............. now he may have been heavy handed but don't want to repeat that experience again :(

............is there anyway you can advise now that the flight is only weeks away, which plane will be doing LGW-PUJ on 1 Dec and PUJ-LGW on 15 Dec and where the plane will be coming into Gatwick from on 1 Dec.

Cheers for all the info

LGW-SFB-LGW (TOM046/7) are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. It should be the usual long haul aircraft.

WATB,

TOM070/1 was operated by an ex-TOM on 3rd Nov (G-OBYJ), and an ex-FCA on 10th Nov (G-PJLO), so it's 50-50 at the moment! It may have reverted to the ex-FCA for the remainder of the winter season. The seat back IFE shows the same movies, programmes etc, it's just a different way of using it. The touch screens on the ex-TOM are quite good, you just get finger prints on them that's all! I can understand the annoying prods in the back, I think they may have just been heavy handed as you don't need to press it that much. The ex-FCA are hand held remotes. The flight before is usually TOM066/7 (LGW-Puerto Plata-LGW). I'll know the registration the day before.

Not wanting to put a downer on peoples holidays, it seems the short haul configured 767 is being based at LGW for the forseeable future. A friend is going to Cancun in January and has already been told it will be that aircraft. Thomson did release an internal communication a while back regarding which specific flights where to be altered, they don't seem to be doing the same in this extended period.

Seems good old G-OOBK is taking longer than expected to repair. :cry
Thomson have changed a lot of the games based on feedback, now I think its just the disney game that is quite "touch heavy" so cross your fingers for no children/disney lovers behind you if your on that aircraft.
