Hi Darren
We are off to the maldives on the 4th Jan departing Manchester arriving Male 5th Jan Our outbound flight number is TOM188 and return flight number is TOM189. We are returning on the 19th Jan. Do you know what aircraft it will be. Im aware that it will be a b767 - 300, but is it the first choice or Thomson livery.
Kindest regards
Flight to punta cana 041110 was really bad it was a female passenger. Crew were totally unorganised .Only two hours from destination could have carried on instead of 1 hr divert. Not what you want after already having 28 hr delay. Thomsons were just moving the delays on to other flights over 3 days. :
Welcome onboard
MAN-MLE-MAN (TOM188/9) are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER (winglets). You'll find further aircraft information from our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Anyone know what this aircrafts previous flight will be so I can check if we will be on time.
Cheers
Papa
Papa,
Wow Darren,
Saw in an earlier post from today that the long haul Thomson plane that is damaged has been delayed in returning to service and a short haul one is working out of Gatwick.
Off to Holguin on 074/075 on Monday 22nd November in Premium; do you think we are likely to get the plane without the Premium cabin?
Thanks and regards,
Tracey
Tinkie,
I haven't heard anything yet which i am hoping is good news; do you have an indication of how soon they would know if they are going to change it please?
Best wishes,
Tracey
That's something I can't answer. I don't work for the airline! Refer to BY-TOM-AMM-FCA thread;
BY-TOM-AMM-FCA wrote:Thomson did release an internal communication a while back regarding which specific flights where to be altered, they don't seem to be doing the same in this extended period.
I had a copy of the previous list of changes up to 4th November, but there's nothing been released since.

Hi Darren,
Your flights, LGW-HOG-LGW (TOM074/5) are operated by a Boeing 767-300/ER
Comment for Darren
- is this wrong? TOM074 is going to Liberia in Costa Rica? Elsewise I've got tickets for the wrong flight!
Or - does this answer a previous question I had - does the Liberia flight have to stop somewhere to refuel? It's a 12 hour flight which surely must be on the limit of the range of a 767? Maybe I'm stopping in Cuba on the way to Costa Rica?
You're right, I think Tinkie may have meant TOM094/5 rather than TOM074/5.
FCA/TOM's 76W have an endurance of 11 hours 25 minutes (with fuel reserve) when fully loaded in the long haul configuration, less in the short haul as they're heavier (more seats). The endurance is 13 hours when empty. There's a trade off between weight and range so either less freight will be loaded or the maximum number of passengers limited. LGW-LIR is 11.5 hours outbound.ukbill wrote:It's a 12 hour flight which surely must be on the limit of the range of a 767?
The Liberia flights operate as follows;
Dep LGW Tues 10:10, Arr LIR 16:10, Boeing 767-300/ER (winglets), Flight No: TOM074
Dep LIR Tues 19:10, Arr LGW Weds 11:50, Boeing 767-300/ER (winglets), Flight No: TOM075

Was wondering we fly out to Barbados from Manchester 4.12.10 flight No Tom 132, did ask and you promptly said it's an ex FCA 7673. Due to the broken one in Bristol and my not so fond of flying do you know which one we will be on, or is it to early. I know it will be repaird good and proper but not to keen if bravo kilo was on stand.
Kind regards
Andy
It's way too early to know. We won't know until the day before which registratin it will be. It makes little different as they're all the ame inside. G-OOBK may not be back in service when you fly as I believe repairs are taking longer than first anticipated. When it is back in service though, I wouldn't worry about flying on it. Repairs are carried out to the highest standard and it won't be issuied with an airworthyness certificate unless it's 100% servicable. I'd have no problems flying on it personally. It's no different than driving in a car that's been a catagory C or D write-off after an accident and repaired to the required standard.

Indeed i did; please accept my apologies.

Many thanks Darren - prompt detailed reply as always!
Indeed my first flight with Thomson was back in 1973 - to Ibiza from Newcastle and that suffered a 5 hour delay (no free meals in those days)! Since then I've only had one single long delay with Thomson - admittedly a 32 hour one coming back from Kerala - but they looked after everyone very well considering the difficulties of getting accommodation in India at the end of the "UK season".
Folk interested in on-time performance might like to look at the various review sites on line which show which airlines are good, bad or indifferent.
And also - Thomson have a very useful simple webpage which allows anyone to see just how good or bad the current situation is for all Thomson flights. It looks pretty good today.

I know of no other airline which provides such a facility.
I was wondering if you could help me, I am flying to sharm on the 5th December on tom 452 do you know what plane this will be and if there will be in flight entertainment otherwise i'm going to have to find something to pass the 5 hours on the plane. im a slightly inpatient flyer.
Thanks
Michael
