Hi, my Mum and Dad and brother have booked to go from manchester on the 4th Feb, I want to join them from Luton or London but the FC people says theres no single rooms- can I book AI direct with the hotel- is it more expensive and how do I do this please?

We had interconnecting rooms, so it may be cheaper for your mum and dad to upgrade and for you to pay the difference. Email the hotel though as they are more than helpful.

Last year i took acidophilus from 2 weeks before- like an earlier poster.
I was fine and had no problems at all with the food.
I got them from simply supplements as they were the cheapest.
I have not heard from the hotel back yet- I have also e-mailed a friend who is a local travel agent to sharm who looked after us when we went before- so fingers crossed.
Has anyone booked directly and about how much is a week?

The hotel has directed back to first choice- who say you can't book a single package- to go as a single traveller I have to book 2 complete packages- flights and room!
First choice say I can try and contact the hotel- I feel like I am chasing my tail.
I hope I get to go with my folks but it is very difficult.
I just need the hotel to let me book an AI single room- or double just for me.
Or to let me upgrade my mum, dad and bro to join me by interconnecting rooms.
I hope I find a resolution, my parents may not take many more hlidays and the change of a week with them would be amazing!

Has anyone got any ideas to help me- the hotel has confirmed a single room AI price of $140 a night- £680 without transport!

nigandjules. First Choice have pretty well got the holiday village sown up I am afraid. I am suprised they have offered you a room direct.
If that is proving too costly, how about staying at one of the hotels on either side of the holiday village.
One is the Tropincana Grand Azure and the other is the Laguna Vista Beach Resort, you would be really close to your Mum and Dad then and could meet up all the time, I have no idea if these hotels would be any cheaper than the HV for a single room, but might be worth investigating.

Jules, have your mum and dad tried to upgrade to interconnecting rooms and then you can pay them the extra? 
They haven't- I will ask about that and see what we can do.

Apologies if this have been asked in another thread but does anyone know the e mail address for the holiday village ? i go with my family on 14th Feb and would like to e mail the hotel to request a room in a particular block am i right in thinking that block 10 is one of the best as its central to most things

I have had great quotes for travel insurance too- great prices from Staysure for my mum and dad of £52- they have complicated heath problems 4 things between them, so a great quote.
My brother and I are £5.14 each using Cheaper Travel Insurance (individual policies).
