Hi,
I asked a couple of questions re my flights to NYC last month, it's BA0185 departing LHR on 22/1 to EWR, returning BA0184 on 25/2 EWR to LHR.
This question is about seating in WT+. I bit the bullet & paid £100 in total to book our seats as availability for two seats together not in the row of 4 was diminishing, we have seats 20A & 20B going out and seats 20K&J on our return flight. I looked on SeatGuru and was unable to find those seats/rows on any of their aircraft maps, our plane is a 777, I looked at all the configurations of 777's but just couldn't see it.
Is anyone able to point me in the right direction of a seat map that shows our seats and/or any advice as to whether they are decent seats or not?
Very grateful thanks,
Lady64.
I found a link called the ba source.com which when clicked, shows on a Boeing 777 200 seat map, there are rows 18-20.
No matter, your advice was welcome, thank you.
Regards
Lady64
Travelling to Orlando from Gatwick on 24/3/11 at 11.40am boeing 777..... Could you tell me the Reg no ie,
G-VIIO or G-VIIT etc..... I know this is probably very difficult to know but thought i'd give it a whirl...?
Also i've found out we are travelling down from Manchester on BA at 8.30am to Gatwick to connect with the Orlando flight.......! Firstly will we have enough time to make the Orlando flight.....? Secondly we are flying on a boeing 737-400 are'nt they a bit on the old side.......? Bit of a nervous passenger you see...?
Cheers Dazbo......!
It's way too early to know that. I doubt BA know themselves yet! The most commonly used ones are G-VIIO/P/R/T & G-YMMB. They're basically the same inside so makes no difference really. The 734's are nice little aircraft although they are starting to show their age interior wise. Aircraft age isn't much of an issue though. They aren't like cars that get a service and MOT once a year, maintenance is done with a fine toothcomb and after a D check every 5 years or so depending on the age and manufacturers maintenance schedule, they're like new afterwards as they get strippped to component parts and effectively rebuilt. It's not a problem in that respect. 3 hours 10 minutes is more than adequate to make your connection. The recommended time is 90 minutes.
Darren
I arrive in Gatwick at 9.30am although that flight has been running late recently..... But still plenty of time to make connection...... Relieved about the 737's didn't realise that they were stripped etc.....
Cheers for your time,
Ash.....!
British Airways increases fuel surcharge
British Airways has confirmed it will increase its fuel surcharge on longhaul services from next Tuesday ( February 8 ).
There will be no fuel surcharge increase to any British Airways' shorthaul services.
World Traveller and World Traveller Plus tickets will increase by £12 per sector (£24 return). First and Club World tickets will increase by £17 per sector (£34 return). the increase will only apply to bookings made from February 8.
The airline blamed the rise on a 'substantial' increase in the price of oil and a 14% rise in the spot price of jet fuel since the last fuel surcharge increase only two months ago.
The change will mean:
· For World Traveller flights over nine hours an increase from £76 a sector to £88. On flights of less than nine hours an increase from £63 a sector to £75.
· For World Traveller Plus flights over nine hours an increase from £94.50 a sector to £106.50. On flights of less than nine hours an increase from £73 per sector to £85.
· For First and Club World flights over nine hours an increase from £108 per sector to £125. On flights of less than nine hours an increase from £88 per sector to £105.

Dong! Round 25 goes to British Airways...
British Airways has emerged victorious in the latest scuffle between management and union leaders, with a ballot for strike action being dumped after it was found to be legally unsound.
Unite has revealed that a ballot, carried out in January and showing support for fresh walk outs, has had to be abandoned after the Electoral Reform Society questioned its validity, based on a concern about the number of ballot papers issued.
But Unite general secretary Len McCluskey said that in the next week to ten days it would inform BA of a new ballot. He added that he had seen "no flicker of interest" from BA management about setting up new talks, a claim the airline has dismissed as "rubbish".
BA hit back saying Unite had known about the fact that the ballot could not progress to strike action for some time yet did nothing.
A BA spokesman said: "Unite knew more than three weeks ago that this ballot lacked legal validity. It chose to hide this fact from its members, opting instead for rhetoric about industrial action it knew could not happen. We make no apology for having advised Unite of the flaws in its conduct. The union has nobody to blame but itself."
But McCluskey said: "If BA management believes that it can secure industrial harmony by these methods it is living in a fools' paradise. Only negotiation, not litigation or intimidation, can place industrial relations on a sound footing and start to heal the wounds caused by this dispute."

Can anyone tell me if, on the final row 53 (two seats), do the seats fully recline or only partially? At the moment we have paid extra for rows 51 (out) and 52 (back), but 53 would have no-one behind us; as I have a bad back I don't like people sticking their knees into the back of the seat!!!
Any help appreciated.
NoisyParkser,
many thanks Darren
Just bear in mind that seats at the rear can be quite a congested area near to the toilets and often the last to be served with meals.
Flying to chicago ba295 on may 3rd 11.45 wondering which aircraft it would be and what model.
Blade918,
Cheers thanks
oh and we are flying from LA to NZ with Quantas...would that be on an airbus?
Thank you in advance.
Val.
Please quote dates and flight numbers when requesting aircraft information as there are often multiple flights and with scheduled carriers, codeshares. This ensures we get the correct information for you. I'll assume you're on the following;
LHR-LAX (BA283 / BA269) - Boeing 747-400
LAX-AKL (assuming Aukland? in January?) (eg QF026) - Airbus A330-200
Justval wrote:I don't think they have Airbuses
They have, but not the larger long haul aircraft (A330/A340) until the A380's arrive, scheduled to commence in April 2012, unless there's a delay in delivery. They operate Airbus A318, A319, A320 and A321.

There's no 'u' in Qantas, it stands for Queensland And Northern Territory Airline Service
Darren
The flight departs Terminal 5 at 15.15 on Boxing Day to LAX with British Airways..and yes the QANTAS flight is to Auckland and we depart LAX on 28 December.
Flying on BA2159 on Weds 23rd Feb. Can anyone tell me what arriving flight into Gatwick that morning is the aircraft I will be flying out on? It will just allow me to see on Weds if its due in on time and if we have a good chance of departing as scheduled.
Thanks
Lisa
