Could you tell me what plane is used for Thomson flying from Gatwick to Jamaica on 21 May 2011.
Thanks in advance.
Thank you so much for the info on my flight Darren. It is much appreciated.
You wonderful people helped me out last year...wonder if you can do the same again??? please...
Booked to go to lanzarote flying with Thomson from Manchester 7.20am Sunday flight, it's a no frills flight!!
What sort of plane is this? And what are the seating arangements on board?
Is there any entertainment on board as we have 2 kids flying with us.
Thanks in advance
Louise
we are off to Playa Pesquero 21-03-11 Flying on Tom094, we have upgraded the seats and was wondering if anyone could give us info on the type of plane and what to expect in premium (is it worth the money)/
Thanks.
Me again! Have just noticed on the First Choice desktop alert for my holiday that 'There is no onboard entertainment on the 737-300'. I am panicking now as apparently this is the aircraft i will fly to Cancun on and as this is an 11 hour flight this is not good! Does anyone know.
When is it you're flying? What are your flight numbers? There are several flights to ACE so please provide as much information as you can in order to ensure it's the right flight. TOM's flight schedule is a very long list!

There is a mistake on the system. It should say Boeing 767-300 (as I mentioned previously). The Boeing 737-300 is a short range aircraft and can't make it that far without several fuel stops, and with only half the number of passengers! It's true the 737-300 doesn't have IFE though as it's an older generation aircraft. You aren't the only one to raise this issue! You'll find all the aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).
EDIT: Sunaddict just beat me to it!

Darren I have just moved the above in to here but because of the post time it has appeared a page back so will possibly get missed, can you please help 'Hopingforagoodbreak' our new member.
Thanks

Ps I seem to remember you saying you were going for a flight on a Dakota, did you have a flight and if so I know you must have some pictures of this amazing aircraft that you can add to the forum, I would love to see them

Not a problem
Hopingforagoodbreak,
Welcome onboard
LGW-HOG-LGW (TOM094/5) are operated by a former Thomsonfly Boeing 767-304/ER (winglets) on a 2 weekly basis at the moment with an ex-FCA on the oposing weeks. Assuming there are no changes, your flights should be an ex-FCA. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). Whether to upgrade to the premium cabin and if it's value for money is personal preference. You are essentially paying for extra seat pitch (37/36" compared to 33"). Remember drinks aren't free, they are complimentory (you've paid for them as part of the package) and you get the upgraded IFE (£5 in economy for the premium films). It's a great experience, but personally, I think the economy cabin is more than adequate and I'd rather save the money and use it for trips or diving once in resort, or put it towards a nicer hotel and get the benefit for 2 weeks. That's just me though. You may find it's excellent value for money. The cabin crew are excellent and I'm sure you'll have great flights. If all you want is extra legroom though, then those seats may be a better option with the overwing exit seats giving more room than in premium. If you consider how many drinks you have on a flight, the cost of the extra IFE, and whether you need the extra 3kg or luggage allowance (some holidays come with that anyway), you can weight up the pros and cons and extra costs. Enjoy Cuba and the Guardalavaca /Holguin Province, it's a fabulous place.

I certainly did! It's not possible now though due to a change in regulation in 2008 which is a shame. What a flight it was, the Dak is such a graceful aircraft and the sound of the twin-wasps is unmistakeable. I posted a few photos shortly after the flight; Dakota Fairwell Tour 2008, Blackpool: Flying 1940's style. Some better quality ones here.

Superb photo's of the old workhorse would love a flight in one, TT Attessa isn't a bad tub
Any idea what aircraft type Thomson will use for TOM104 on 28 April 2011 and the returning TOM105?
We can book seats this weekend, and I'm not sure which of the 767 seat plans will apply.
Also, I'm sure I've seen somewhere in previous years where inflight entertainment menus are published. Again, can you help?
Many thanks.
Hi sorry, its TOM2766 to Arrecife on 17th April from Manchester
MAN-CUN-MAN (TOM104/5) are operated by a former Thomsonfly Boeing 767-304/ER (winglets /283 seats long haul). You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below) including a link to current IFE (Jan/Fab at the moment). IFE for March / April will be released at the beginning of March, I'll update the link when it's available. The corresponding seating plan for your flight will be displayed on the screen when you login to the system.
Darren
Your flight must be an additional one (easter hols?) as it's not on the flight schedule. It should be a Boeing 757-200 though. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Just seen a reply on another forum from someone who went out to Holguin 25/1 and returned 7/2 - It was Thomsonfly plane outward and people were finding out at check in that they hadn't got the seats they had booked and paid for!! The return this Monday was on an ex FC plane. What is going on with Thomson???
Aircraft are being rotated for operational reasons, that's all. I can understand passengers not being happy about not getting seats they selected and paid for, and should get a refund for it.
Darren
Now, all the planes are back in service (as far as I'm aware?) but they are STILL mucking people about by swapping planes around - morally how can they sell seats which they never have the intention of honouring (they switch Thomson/ex FC aircraft for "operational" reasons!! when they hold different nos. of passengers and are split differently).
A lot of people booked months ago - I bet a lot the flights were sold on the basis of 60+ PREMIUM passengers, even tho' a substantial proportion of their fleet cannot seat them.
I'm obviously interested in the Monday flights to Holguin.I've been told that people travelling on the next 2 Mondays have not been informed of any changes.Lets see what happens!!
Just a quick question.....
We're booked on the above flight via Inghams
heading out to Andorra.
Does anyone kow if we can use the day before checkin?
Inghams actually do not know as the sub charter, and, there's
the usual queue on the Thomson phone lines.
Can anyone shead any light?
Thanks
