Just noticed on the JET 2 site prices now include all taxes and charges - about time too. I think only booking and card fees do not show until end of booking process. Of course optional fees are still added later but at least it gives you a better idea of the true cost when you see a price advertised. Have they been forced to do this ? I wander if the other airlines will follow ?
I have never checked in online with Jet2 before. When you do, do you then get allocated your seat numbers?
Think we booked ours when we booked the flight...guessing you can go in and add to your booking. We had a plane layout on the screen and we clicked on the seats we wanted for both outward and inbound flights
Thanks for the reply tisonly, but that way I guess you have to pay. What I am wondering about is when you check in online is it at this stage that you get allocated your seats.
When you check-in online, you'll be allocated seat numbers by the system free of charge. If you don't like the ones given, you then have the option to choose your own at a charge.

Thanks Darren, thats what I thought it would be but was just looking for clarification.
My husband is a wheelchair user and for the first time we have decided to check in online. The problem is he has informed them he needs assistance and a wheelchair allocated seat on the plane. When we check in do they realise this and give us the wheelchair allocated seat or just a regular seat.
Have you prebooked mobility assistance with them as it says on the website that you need to do this before arriving at the airport. There is quite a bit of information on their website

I doubt you would be able to check in online if you need specially designated seats as these will be blocked off.

From memory, when we last used Jet2 with my disabled Mum who also needs assistance, when I looked to check-in on-line it showed me which seats we had been already been pre-allocated and it didn't give me the option of changing them but because I was having problems with the printer I couldn't print off the boarding card anyway and we still had to go to the check-in desk. We were then given boarding cards with exactly the same numbers as the on-line check-in diagram and these were clearly specially designated seats which I assume, just as Sunaddict says, would have been blocked off as far as anybody else who tried to choose them was concerned. So I think that you would be OK as long as you don't try and change what you've been allocated but whilst we haven't used them a lot, I found the customer service staff to be very helpful whenever I did need to phone, so if you are feeling anxious why not give them a ring just to put your mind at rest?

Thanks for the replies. I have notified them about assistance needed and have flown with them many times without a problem. I thought that they would allocate the disabled seating, thank you for the reasurrance. I may have to contact cusomer services thou because my daughter has decided to come with us and has a seperate confirmation number so it would not allocate all our seats together. Thank for the help
we have booked with Jet2 and it has been a bit of a hassle to be honest,
we travel with our son who is confined to a wheelchair, he can not walk at all, we informed them when booking .
we did on line check in and found they had given us row 40 , i phoned them and asked how they expected him to be carried 40 rows and what if we need to take him to the toilet, he is 21 so not easy too lift.
they informed me when i phoned that i would have to check-in at the airport but they could not say if we would all be together on the plane. I asked them why they had told us to use online check-in but did not really get a answer.
To cut a long story short we then paid another 80 something pound to sit with extra legroom seats all together, i will take it up with jet 2 to ask why we were told different things, its the first time we have used jet 2 , we have never had this sort of problems with other airlines.
He has always been allocated medical seats will see what happens to see if we use them again
I Have used Jet2 for about 10 years and never had problems with getting seats allocated at airport and also the transfer on and off plane, this will be the first time we have checked in online. We will wait and see what happens and if it doesnt work out i will just use airport check in in future. Good luck, when and where are you going?
we are going on the 27th May too Icmeler in Turkey.
Flying into dalaman will be our 6th year there with our son, its his favourite .
so myself and dad have to trek along , but really a great place for him and we also enjoy it.
what about yourselves where are you going ?
The same thing has happened before and last time the member of the customer care team admitted a website fault and changed my details over the phone. This time the jet2 customer care lady simply just called me a liar and told me to pay the money or hang up. I was shocked. I had no option but to pay. I fear for other people using jet2 and booking online as this could happen a dzen times a day and make jet2 a fortune on so called "admin fees". I am still shaken by todays experience and will use easyjet rather than jet2 from now on. The service from Jet 2 has been slipping for a while now, both on their webiste and their staff at airports and on planes also. The flights are far from cheap and they charge you for everything. There are very few normal seats on their planes and you have to pay £10 per seat just to chose them online.
After the jet2 website debacle and the incredible rudeness of their staff, I advise all to tread carefully when booking with jet2 online to avoid paying double what you expected due to a fault at their end.

I've only used jet2 twice and when checking online didn't get any allocated seats offered free
Just had to pay for our chosen seats, now this is jet2 Holidays? Is is different to a flight only with them?

That's why you had to pay for them, if you chose them. If you take whatever you are given by default, there shouldn't be any charge.

iv got 2 holidays booked both flights with jet2 1 29th of this month to majorca and 1 on the 18th june to alicantie both done online. 1 with my family of 3 and 1 with a group of mates 6 in total and have had no probbs what so ever. infact i had to phone jet2 as i am now not commin back on 1 of my flights lady i spoke to understood me well and told me how much it would be to change flight wich i declined as i can get back cheaper with someone else. my flights at the time of booking were the cheapest out of all the low cost carriers i have printed off my boarding cards for my first hol no probb and will be printing off my second holiday later so i can say i am very happy with jet2.
Sorry if this has been asked before but I have had a look and can't see any details..
We are first time fliers with Jet2 and are flying from EMA to Corfu and return this Summer. We have opted for the 'online check in'. I have no problems with the procedures for check in for the departure and am aware of the bag drop procedures for our hold luggage for EMA. My question is about the return leg. Do I do on line check in for the return before I depart (it is within the time limits) and print our return boarding passes (I'm guessing so).. but more of an unknown... what happens at Corfu airport on our return... do they have a dedicated Jet2 bag drop area or do you just queue at the normal Jet2 check in desk and show your pre-printed boarding passes/on line check in confirmation.
Many thanks for any advice..
We've just returned from Alicante, flew with Ryanair and had no problem with our on-line boarding card,I would print both and take with you,any problems with the departure airport can be sorted there.Ryanair had dedicated desks at Alicante so we had no problems.
Anyway to cut it short- do as Oscarben has suggested you shouldn't have any problems. We did it for our Prague flights and it worked out fine.
