we absolutely loved it!!!
Before we went to Cyprus we already booked for Turkey this September, but I am thinking about calling into the travel agents to see if we can change it to Cyprus.
We stayed in Paphos and had so much fun. The weather was great, and we hired a car so we could get away from the main tourist area.
We booked all inclusive for Turkey, and I know that Cyprus is more expensive than Turkey so i'm facing a bit of a problem here and need your advice.
Do i stick with our prebooked all inclusive holiday to marmaris Turkey, or do I go with paying extra for Cyprus, or maybe even going half board?
second to Greece i do like Cyprus and after a couple of trips to Turkey i must say it did nothing for me, [and before anyone shouts] many others do prefer Turkey,
at the end of the day its your choice, but if you return please try the east coast [my favourite]

if its marmaris, your'e going to,i would definately change to cyprus.marmaris has got to be the worst resort in turkey (my opinion)
I wrote a really long reply but my computer crashed so will start again.
To go half board to Cyprus will cost around the same as our all inclusive holiday to marmaris. To be honest, I have never been all inclusive anywhere, and when i booked marmaris, we said that even though we would be all inclusive, we would not spend every day and evening at the hotel. Our plan was to maybe use the all inclusive for breakfast, go out all day, have a snack once returning to the hotel around 5pm, then head out in the evening for drinks.
The half board option will suit us fine, because we want to hire a car again (Cyprus).
I didn't really rate marmaris when i went last year, but we found a cheap deal which is why we booked again for this year.
I suppose it is only us who can make the decision, so i will call into the travel agent tomorrow and will keep you updated.
The only thing that is putting me off returning to Cyprus on just half board is the cost of living. I know it will probably be the same in other euro countries, but we spent a small fortune last month.

After your AI drinks have stopped I hope
We have never been to Turkey, but after our first holiday to Cyprus in 2002 we loved it so much we have returned about 15 times and never get bored returning to the same place. I am asked time and time again why we don't go somewhere different but Cyprus has everything we want, friendly people, wonderful weather we just love the place! So I can completely understand your dilemma. We have never stayed in Paphos we prefer the other end but have visited by car. Good luck with what ever you decide to do
Have never been to Cyprus , only been to Turkey once didn't like the resort we were in but i will return to Turkey one day just not sure when though as we have now found greece and going back for the third time , you have to make the decision on the right reasons for going or changing
First visited Cyprus three years ago, went back year after and got married over there, stayed in Protaras both times. This year we are staying in Paphos so cant wait to hire a car and get out and see the other side. Hubby didn't feel confident enough to drive in Turkey, different breed of maniac drivers over there......GO FOR IT! Book Cyprus.
If you haven't paid a lot for your AI the chances are the food wont be that good anyway, as in Turkey you do get what you pay for and if you want 5 star you have to pay 5 star prices, if you get a bargain deal you will get bargain quality. As you said through you wouldn't be eating there all the time though.
You would no doubt end up spending more money if you went to Cyprus but really it is your holiday so go where you think you will have the better time, if you preferred Paphos then maybe it would be better to change. As I said, I don't rate Marmaris much either but I haven't been to Pahos so I can't compare.
Have a great time wherever you choose
Well, we have decided to stay with Turkey and make the most of it, because we are going to India in Jan 2012 with our family.
We will hopefully return to Cyprus next summer.
