Hi all

We are going to Sanford on 29th July on TCX 472 MAN - SFB returning on 12th August on TCX 473. I know its a bit early to identify the exact plane we will be on but can Darren let me know what type of plane we will be on and where it comes from before our flight please.
Last time over the pond we came back on the 767 rescue plane and it was a bit tight on seat space.

Thanks

Evening all, im just wondering if anyone can give me info on Thomas cook flight TCX3122 (GLA)

what im wanting to know is, this is the flight im going away on in 5 weeks time, but ive been checking every week for the last 3 weeks to see if it gets away on time but not once has it left on time, the earliest it has taken off is 2h 45m's after the scheduled time.

Can anyone tell me why this is?

Thanks in advance

I wonder why they tell you you can't choose your seat online until a certain date, in my case 15th July for a flight in October, but I've just checked today on the off chance and it's let me book them. Luckily I got the seats I wanted as everyone is probably waiting until the 15th. Good job for me, but why give you a certain date and then open it 4 days early?

What date in October are you flying? We're going on the 12th October from Manchester on TCX044 which I believe is an A330-200.

Hi Darren,

I am somewhat confused about our flight to Gambia we are booked on flight TCX2108 from Manchester on the 28th Nov this year, I have read your new information but being a thicky I am still a bit confused.
Im not overlay sure wether or not Gambia is classed as long haul, if it is then the aircraft A300-200 will be changed by the time we are going to being all economy and what was premier will be extra legroom only!
Pressuimg Ive got it right so far when or can I book extra legroom seats in advance and how much are they charging for the privalage?
I am over 6ft tall and 14st I have read your trip report to Dalaman just reading it gives me claustrophobia.
Whilst writing can you please tell me what are the durations of short, medium and long haul flights

Please can you enlighten me.

Thanks Tush

Hi Tush
You can only book extra legroom 90 days prior. The A330-200's have only had the ex premium seats as extra legroom since May this year. I'm pretty sure Gambia is classed as mid haul, not long haul though.

Hi Darren,
You gave me some good advice a few months ago, i just have one final question. we are flying to sanford from gatwick on 20 august and are on the thomas cook scandinavia a330-300 plane. i have reserved 3 seats in the middle in row 4 as i know they have a little extra leg room. however, i noticed that the configuration is 3-3-3 compared to 2-4-2 for the rest of the plane. does this mean that the seats are narrower?
Also, we are travelling with a 23 month old who is classed as an infant. i have tried to book him a meal but was told i can't. do you know if i ask nicely on the plane they will give him a meal if they have any leftover. if so, is this likely. will bring food but would be handy if he can eat on the plane.
thanks

Mdollar,

Some flights are uploaded on to the system before the date they are due to be released so it's always worth checking beforehand.

tush,

Gambia is a short (medium) haul destination, not a long haul so there won't be any premium seating regardless of aircraft. Flights to Banjul are normally the Boeing 757-200 that are all economy. Extra legrrom seating is detailed on Thomas Cooks website. Short haul are under 3 hours, medium haul 3-7 hours and long haul over 7 hours.

rapunzel,

Seat widths are the same. The only ones that are slightly narrower are the ones at the from where the tray tables fold out of the arm rest. You can ask if there is a spare meal, but don't bank on their being one.
