Long-haul specialist operator collapses
A specialist in worldwide dive holidays has ceased trading, becoming the sixth tour operator to collapse in less than a month.
The failure of Twickenham-based Geo-Dive follows the demise of Plymouth-based Real Traveller last week and four other operators in September.
Geo-Dive specialised in dive packages to the Indian Ocean and the Maldives, but also sold trips to other long-haul destinations including America, Africa and Asia.
The Civil Aviation Authority said the company had ceased trading with immediate effect. Its air-based packages were ATOL protected and the CAA said passengers may be able to claim a refund.
