A quick search for Jan 2012 and Cosmos coming up just under £2000 to the Prazeres in Candolim. Nov/Dec 2012 a bit early for bargains but keep a track on Qatar for flights, been some belting deals this year and some good tips for them given out on here - we got them for £400 each.
Where you flying from ? Will keep an eye out for deals.

Thanks :)
Spike - we will be flying from Manchester, but if the price is considerably cheaper flying from down south then that is also an option. 400pounds for the flight is very good, will be keeping an eye out. How many months in advance did you book for that price?

Silent man- we went independently once before and got a good deal, but I'm just struggling at the moment to find any good deals like you and spike mention.

I've been looking on Thomson flights and they're offering flight only for about 350 pounds per person for late November/early December 14nights for this year. Obviously this is a late booking, and I'm not sure I'd have the nerve to wait until this time next year to book late flights, just incase none come up again.

We usually go in January but all the years we've been, we've seen much better prices to go in November or December. I suppose this is why we are giving this time of year a try.

We paid £860 for 3 weeks from 9 - 31 December with Jewel in the Crown staying at Senhor Angelo in Calangute but you can get it much cheaper for the first two weeks in December. Should be able to book in January, we usually re-book when we return.

Got a large two bedroom bungalow for £1200 for 3 months from January 1st, just sorting out the flight which I hope to get for around £560, so, £1750ish for 3 month holiday :tup

We are going for 3 weeks leaving Heathrow Xmas eve. Paid £570 for Qatar flights back in January both legs have a short layover. Then its approx £300 for apartment. Total per person £720 then there's the train fare to and from Heathrow £35 each and hotel for the night before we fly, we decided to stay at the Hilton in terminal 4 which cost £125 but there were a lot of cheapies from £19 available at some of the outlaying hotels.
With the cost of the Visa it's cost around £850 per person which for Xmas I don't think is too bad it's the only time of year where I can get 3 weeks off work but if I was going any other time I would really be aiming for £600 to £700.

Qatar play games with their prices and you just have to keep checking. For weeks Manchester/Goa was £722 and then for a period of about two weeks (in June/July, I think), it dropped to around £450.

I feel sure that with frequent checking and a reasonable place to stay, you'll be able to knock hundreds of pounds off your £3k for three of you. Good luck!
