I have a holiday booked to Mexico on 30th aug and have extra leg room, at the time of booking I wasn't pregnant and so I was completely eligible to fly in these seats.
However since becoming pregnant I am having trouble getting a straight answer from any of the first choice customer service team.
I have been told by two first choice people that at 16 weeks I will be fine to fly in these seats as long as I don't need a seat belt exstension. However two other first choice staff have said no all seats are allocated next to emergency exits you'll have to downgrade.
I'm now left completely uncertain as to what to do. I don't want to downgrade, especially now that I am pregnant because it's a 10 hour flight and I don't particularly want to fork out for premium seats either.
One staff suggested I say nothing and don't tell them I'm pregnant at all.
My partner works on aircraft and so he's fully capable of opening the exits should there be an emergency.
If I don't say anything and they find I'm pregnant I lose my money and will be downgraded, I think this is such a stupid policy and I'm at my wits end with first choice as a company.
If anyone who has been pregnant and flown extra leg room via first choice then it would be lovely to hear your story! If not then any advice would be appreciated. Thank you
