Thanks for your reply....I guess what I was really asking is are what seats would most people avoid? Do you know if the configuration will be 2-3-2?.

Many thanks

Ps I shall be in Negril myself soooo looking forward to it!

Lisamv250,

As I mentioned, all the information is on our What Aircraft? guide. The ex-FCA 763's are 2-3-2 throughout. Seating is personal preference. What I might like others won't and vice versa. All seats off the same basic facilities in their respective cabins other than extra legroom seats. The only ones I avoid are those adjacent to toilets to avoid disturbance from passengers queuing.

LGW-AGP-LGW (TOM4500/1) are operated by Boeing 737-800. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). Row 16 is the rear of the over wing exit rows providing some extra legroom.

Thanks for that Darren, Surprise surprise It wont let me select rows 15 and 16 :( Any other seat row suggestions??
Reply
delboy,

As rows 15 and 16 are extra legroom seats, these need to be purchased as such. If you've only paid for select your seat, you can select any seat that aren't extra legroom as these have an additional charge and restrictions. If you wanted extra legroom seating, you should have booked them at the time of booking the holiday / flight or if Thomson were aware you wanted extra legrom seating, took payment for them at the time. Select your seat only gives you a choice of seats on the aircraft, it doesn't let you book extra legroom seating which is why they won't be available. Seating is personal preference. All seats other than extra legroom have the same seat pich on the 73H so it's just whatever you prefer reall, there are no 'best' seats.

Hi Darren,

Heading off skiing on Saturday LGW to Geneva on TOM-4608 any idea if this will be a 738 or a 752? I usually always fly from Bristol so accustomed to the 752!

Have many of the 752's had the rows removed yet?

Many Thanks in advance!

Tom

LGW-GVA-LGW (TOM4608/9) are operated by Boeing 737-800. I'm only aware of 2x 752's with the lower capacity / more extra legroom seats but more are due.

Hi Darren, change of plan. can you give me aircraft info operating MAN - PUJ Wed 15th May returning 29th May. Is this route operated by ex-fca aircraft?

Cheers
Gavin

gav008,

Please quote your flights numbers. MAN-PUJ-MAN (assuming TOM172/3 ?) should be operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER.

Hi Daz, just arrived at LGW for flight TOM094 to Holguin but the plane has been substituted for an ex-Tom 767. Obviously there is not a lot anyone can do about it but does anyone know what has happened to the aircraft that should have been flying - assume it has gone tech somewhere? (Bit annoying when G-OOBK is flying out of Oslo at the moment)

What a strange thing to say, why is it more annoying that an a similar aircraft you should be flying on is flying out of Oslo, as opposed to Manchester? a 258 config aircraft has been flying out of scandanavia all winter. the UK do not have any priority over the ex-FC 767's anymore than Scandanavian countries have to schedule an ex-thomson 767. I believe an ex-FC bird is has a technical problem.

...suspect the greatest "annoyance" will be for passengers expecting Premium cabin!!

I understand that, but why Oslo? There are 6 exFCA 767's why is it so disappointing that one is flying out of another country and not UK/Gatwick? Why does Gatwick deserve one of these aircraft more than another airport?

Why not say "bit annoying when g-oobl is flying out of Birmingham today" what has another flight got to do with a completely separate one from Gatwick...,
Reply
BY-TOM-AMM-FCA, I suspect its because people "assume" that the ex FCA planes are "British" therefore should always be available for UK customers - don't think about Tui being a European company!!

Suppose the main difference is that flights from the Nordic countries are not sold with Premium upgrade available??
Reply
I think TUIfly Nordic operate a premium cabin on the 767.
