It is in an ok position- and close to the MRT. Unless things have changed recently, taxis are cheap so I wouldn't worry too much about costs.
Why not email the hotel and ask them for a rate? Tell them you are considering whether to stay with them or move on. You never know....
Although KL wasn't a favourite of mine compared to other Far East places, the hotel we stayed at there was one of our best ever. Have a look at the Shangri La.

Its also number one "elsewhere".
The only reason it comes out as 4 stars on here is on entertainment, which is a waste of time grading in a city hotel as most go out and couldn't care less about entertainment
