The last time, about 7 years ago, we were asked for far more than that. Enough to build a 4 apartment guesthouse in fact. Promised fully legal co-ownership, with all documentation............. by a "respectable" lawyer.
Had we not known through friends the appalling property situation for foreigners, and that we could not possibly co-own anywhere legally, we might have fallen for it all.
The following year a regular, longish stay British tourist did, and the guesthouse was built.
oh goodness- you would have thought a regular longstaying tourist would have known the property situation.
Actually, he was a nasty little spiv who would have thought the rules wouldn't apply to him.
