To cut a long story short, the owner took our deposit and then she asked for full payment in a phone call (September 30, 2013) that was made by bank transfer (October 1, 2013) and just a few days later she cancelled (October 11, 2013) due to "power and water problems."
She promised a refund in her email of October 11, 2013 but so far we have received nothing. She is no longer in this house and she left "a while back." She has not refunded our money (about 1,000 GBP) nor does she reply to phone calls/messages.
