My Internet has been playing up for several weeks despite the most excellent advice from the call centre in India sir that kept telling me there is nothing wrong with it
Anyway at last I had engineers out most of today so have a new router and temporary fix to fibre optic cable, a whole new cable has to be brought in from the street and this will be getting done in a 4 weeks which is the first free slot they have.
My guess is the tree which has been growing madly in the few years since the cable was originally put in has damaged the cable.
So far so good with a much improved performance but nothing close to the speeds it should be and was, as long as it doesn't just drop off every few minutes I can live with that until the new cable is installed.
