A planned strike by Portuguese immigration officers could cause long delays for holidaymakers over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The union representing SEF immigration officers has announced they will take further industrial action on August 24 and 25.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office said that if the action goes ahead it could cause delays at airports. The SEF workers have been taking industrial action since January in a protest over the loss of certain rights, and in the past such action has led to airport queues of up to two hours.

No country could have that many bank holidays !! 😉
Speaking of airports, isn't the work at Faro supposed to have finished in June. It was still going strong in July when I last left it, is there a completion date?
Hi Jerry, it says here it was completed July 17th
The strike has been called off now. Happy holidays everyone.
