Has anybody cancelled the hotel with on the beach but retained the flights.
Booked to Spain and paid 1300 for the hotel. Stupidly then looked and found I could book the same room direct for 850. Obviously if the whole holiday is cancelled, and I have to buy flights again, there is no benefit.
However the cancellation costs appear to be used to pay for the flights. If the flights are still paid by on the beach then can I still use them ie Ryan air have been paid so can I still fly and book direct with the hotel after cancelling with on the beach?
Any advices welcome apart from next time look up the hotel direct first and just buy flights. I get it!
Hi Georgieboy OTB will have acted as agents & booked your holiday as 2 components, flight & hotel. So theoretically you should be able to cancel hotel booking but there will, no doubt be an admin charge.
yes, everything is fully costed out with cancellation fees etc.
I am just worried that if I press cancel and pay the cancel fees, on the beach will then cancel the hotel (which is what we want) but also the flights (which we don't want as we want to keep the flights).
If you are unsure then telephone them. Not everything has to be done online and you will have peace of mind.
