We have just returned from a skiing holiday in Andorra, which I booked last May and included ski hire, lift passes and ski school. When we arrived I was told that I had only paid for the ski school and had to stump up another £500 for the other items. When I returned and saw the travel agent, she realised that she had made a mistake as the Panorama brochure was rather vague and not easily understood. She apologised and said that if I wrote to the Going Places area manager via her that she might be able to do something. She contacted me and said that as I actually saved money by buying the lift passes and ski hire in Andorra that there was nothing she could do.
My argument is not that I saved money, it is that I didn't expect to pay anything as I thought that it had all been booked. Fortunately I took my credit card otherwise I don't know what would have happened.
Do I have grounds for complaint/compensation?
Any advice would be gratefully received
If she told you that everything was included and purposely misled you into makiing a sale then I would definitely do something about it.

From what I understand from your post, it appears that you have been given wrong advise based on not very clear terms- and conditions of the brochure. They might not be very clear, but providing they state that those things you thought you paid for are not included, I believe you have not good ground to succesfully complain. It is the consumers responsibility to read the terms-and conditions.
