Due to spend a week at a cottage Booked in Norfolk (9.6.23-16.6.23) through a well known
Norfolk booking agency. Was informed about 3wks before that the
owner had pulled out of the future bookings including our own we
have received a full re-fund , however, this has due to particular
circumstances left us no options of a chance of a late
re-arrangement. Plus guests who were to be with us have lost out
financially. Prior to this we were informed by they agency that some
building work was being carried out at the neighbouring property. We
believe a number of future bookings were cancelled because of this
issue. The owner indirectly offered a small reduction in the Booking
cost including our own. After which all Bookings were taken off the
agency website. I have since found on a different website this very
property is now available for future bookings in June 23 and beyond.
Our original dates are now showing as taken . We have had no
communication with the owner to offer us this date on his new web
site. I would like to know if anybody could suggest what to do
regards this situation, and do we tackle the owner or agency . I
know it states our contract is with the owner but I feel the agency
is also responsible I feel we have been grossly deceived by the
owner.
Thank you for anyassistance
Mr K. ireson
