We have not stayed at Camping du Pylone but have heard good reports. We camp at Villeneuve Loubet. We tend to go in May and 'touch wood', we have never had bad weather. As old codgers we know nothing about Amusment Parks... but this area is fantastic for site seeing. The beach at Biot is o.k. but shelves quickly. Antibes is beautiful. Cannes, Nice, Monaco, Ventimiglia (Italy) all easily and cheaply accessible by train. The new rail line to Grasse should be open now. Our favourite trip is on the Trains des Pignes up into the Maritime Alps from Nice. This goes from a different station to the main SNCF. For details of towns, villages etc. check out Provence Beyond. For general information check Anglo Info. Both on the net. For train times you can use SNCF/TER website but the best Train Timetable is downloadable from the Nice Airport website via Access and Parking/Trains on their sitemap. For bus timetable and routes google Rapides Cote D' Azur. Public Transport here is excellent, you DO NOT need a car.

We've just got back from our holiday and had a truly fantastic time. The campsite was fantastic and there is so much to see and do in the area we felt we had barely scratched the surface.

In fact we loved it so much we are going back (for the first time ever) next year.

Thanks for you info, you are right, the trains are GREAT! :D
