Hiya,
Your stopping at Guanabara Park ,Just to let you know the staff are really friendly,It's in the quiet part ,but it only takes 15mins (walking)to get to the nightlife, excellent views of the habour.
We stop there everytime we go to Gran Canaria,
If you have a look on:
www.holidaysuncovered.co.uk
You can read the reviews of the apartments, also try:
www.bryanandchris.fotopic.net
There you will find photo's of these apartments
Hope you have a great stay there,as we will in 3wks time.
They are quite a way up the hill but about 1.50p wil get you up there in a taxi..............
Thanks for your replies, we have now booked the Rio Piedras Apartments, they get good reviews, and are right on the opposite park to the large pool near the beach, nich and flat. We have stayed previously half way up the hill on either side.
Or around the pool?
I'm going there with 3 other girls in July and I've read some reviews on it and it sounds awful and now im panicking!!!
Help pleeeeeease!! x

its only 4mins in taxi to the left of peurto rico beach
amadorus is the same distance to the right
Amadores beach is nice, its a bit of a walk around the edge of the cliff but when you get there it is a man made beach and there are plenty of bars and cafes there.
Try the trips from the harbour too, The catamaran is good it's about £22 but you get free drinks and there is a bbq on board. The dolphin trips are good too.
Anyway I'm sure you will love PR I started going with my mum and dad about 5 years ago and now me and my boyfriend go!
Have a great time x
i was just wondering, me and my three friends have recently booked a holiday to puerto rico. we are staying at the puerto plata apartments. it is our first holiday abroad with each other, we are are after a good time and a gud tan. gud anyone give me general info and honest opinions about puerto rico nitghlife? eating out? the beaches? do you think we have made a good decision?
all comments are welcome it would be a great help thanks very much look forward to hearing ur views x
I've been to Gran Canaira twice but havn't stayed in Puerto Rico but have been on a nite out there. We had a fab time and although the beach is small ish its nice to sunbathe on. If you got the chance visit Playa del Ingles for a real mad nite out.
Hope you enjoy it.
Lisa
thank you x
i go back there on Monday, love the place
hi thanks ray, sounds like my kind of place plenty of cheap drink! haha! thankyou for ur comments feel a lot beta now about going and very xcited!!!
Like Ray i'd go back Monday. I stayed in Playa del Ingles and in Playa Taurito and both occasions went to Puerto Rico for nites out.
You'll have a fab time
Lisa
You can visit the waterpark at the top end - that is furthest point from the beach. The Centro Commercial has a full range of restaurants; pubs; bars etc. The Europa centre is smaller scale but similar. The harbour offers many boat trips and if you wish to top up the tan then an all day cruise will do the necc. A nice boat tripup the coast to Puerto Mogan was also worthwhile.
I've been twice and would return no problem.
Hope this helps
thank u
