We got married here last year it was wonderful . But the entertainment is no good at the hotel except on friday night which was a traditional cypriot night we were allowed to join the paying guests for no charge as we had our reception at the hotel. Everyone had a wonderful night dancing outside to one in the morning and i was still in my dress till then!!
The rest of the week they had rubbish music in the hotel lounge which you might of liked if you were over 60!! Every night after we came back to the hotel there was hardly ever anyone in the lounge.
But dont worry about the hotel as a whole is was superb we had no complaints as we didnt want to stay there at night anyway we wanted to go into town

I'm flying out on 8th June and staying and getting married on the 14th at the Grecian Sands.
We to have opted for the Sea View Deck and the BBQ under the pavillion also.
We have a total of 45 guests who have already booked (poss another5-10) so we have booked a DJ through the Hotel which we will then move into the Poisendon (spelling) Suite.

I e-mailed the Hotels Hairdresser Angeline last week and she got back to me yesterday. I have booked my hair in with her, also 2 x bridesmaids hair up and a blowdry for my Mum and Nan. She was very helpful.

Hiya! I'm flying out the same day as Clare and getting married two days after her.

I am afraid I am going to be stuck with the boring music because I am having my reception at the hotel on a Thurs and don't have enough guests to book a DJ

Anyway glad we have another 'Grecian Sander' in our club!

I have got to e mail angeline to book my hair yet, but I will definitely be using her. In the e mail she sent Clare she sounded really good at English and very keen to help. You can see some of her work on the Grecian Park Website.

I am flying out to Cyprus on 31st August 05 (staying at the Grecian Park hotel) and i am getting married at the Grecian Sands Chapel on the 6th September at 5pm.
I am also having a Bbq under the pivillion for about 26 guests.

Hi Girls,

Just so you know I had a confirmation e-mail from Angeline this morning saying that I am all booked in.
My Wedding is at 5pm and she has booked out from 1pm and say that we will be done by 4pm to give us an hour to get ready, which is perfect for me as all I will be doing is putting my dress on.
I have also booked 2 x BMaids hair up and 2 x blowdry's hence why she has booked out from 1pm.
She said she will start me at 2pm do my hair then have my make up done after.
I have to contact her via the reception when I arrive to make an appointment to meet with her before..

I had an email as well this morning from Angeline, saying i am also booked in , but she cant give me a time as she is trying to get in touch with Julie the wedding co ordinator out in cyprus to confirm the time of the wedding.

Hello All

I received an email back from Angeline this morning, She said that there are 2 hairdressers that work for the Grecian Hotels, Herself and Hayley. She said that she mainly works at the Grecian Sands and Hayley works at the Grecian Park.
She gave me the following prices:
Bridal hairstyle : 40£ (which includes a trial)
Make up : 30£ (which includes a trial as well)

I did ask if they came to the room but she didn't really answer that question.

I have emailed her again to ask about booking but haven't got a reply as yet.

Have been mailing Angeline also - have booked her to do mine and my two bridesmaids hair on the 25th August. She is at The Sands that day and it may be Hayley doing it but I need to work out whether to use the Sands as a base that day (wedding at 5pm!) or spend the day avoiding my H2B at The Park !!!!!!

Either way Katherina is doing my makeup also!

They have a salon in the hotel where i assume you get your hair done i never got mine done there as my rep booked me in with her hairdresser in protaras

No - I dont have Hayleys e-mail, but Angeline has refered to Hayleys' diary as though she has direct access to it. Don't worry - she seems very much 'on the ball' so to speak and I am sure she won't let you down

I have had confirmation from Hayley now, She has booked me in for 2.30pm to do my hair, she said its best if i go to the Salon so she has all her equipment with her. I have to tell reception when i arrive in Cyprus and they will call her for me to arrange a trial.
She also said that she would arrange my makeup and nails for me although she isn't the one that does those.

I have just found this web site and am so happy that there is information on getting married in Cyprus. I am flying out on 28th August and getting married on the 2nd September on the deck in the Grecian Sands hotel.
I would love to hear from anyone who has already been married at the hotel or who is going there this summer.
I was considering having the reception in a local taverna but as the wedding is on a Friday I might take advantage of the Hotels entertainemnt. There is only going to be a very small group of us - 8-10 some of whom are not staying at hotel.
