Has anyone stayed in the Tsilivi Beach Hotel, and if so, would you recommend it? Is it in a good position? Is it clean? Would you go back there?

We stayed there in August with another family a couple of years ago. We found it to be basic but ok. The food was good and we would often eat our lunch there. It is a bit of a walk to the beach (well it seems it because it was so hot). Kids met loads of others there so they were happy.

A very enjoyable holiday.

I stayed at the Tsilivi Beach Studios (on the same site) in 2001 and am planning to go back this year. The position is excellent, right on the beach and within easy walking distance of the shops/restaurants/bars etc. It is very clean and the people are very friendly. The facilities in the studio apartments are very good, they had kitchenette with hob, fridge, sink and kettle, full bathroom with shower, air conditioning and TV. I do not know about the hotel rooms. I absolutely love it there and would recommend it to anyone!

Thanks for your reply Angie, we have booked a self catering room, as a fridge is a must for us Really looking forward to staying there.

My brother has stayed at the Planos a few times and does nothing but rave about it-yawn yawn. Must be good though

WE WENT 2 YEARS AGO IN SEPTEMBER MIGHT BE CAUSE THE PLACE WAS QUIET BUT WASNT MUCH GOING OFF ALL ENTERTAINMENT WAS AIMED AT TODDLERS

Hi, Myself and my partner have booked a two week holiday in St. Dennis apartments in Tsilivi in Zakynthos. We told the lady in the travel agents that we wanted somewhere very quiet and that a nightmare holiday for us would be one where we were beside a nightclub etc. She assured us that where she was booking us into would suit us. However I have recently discovered there are two large bars nearby. I am quite concerned that the area is not what we wanted at all Has anybody with similiar tastes to ours stayed in St. Denis apartments? We really wanted a quiet relaxing holiday. This is our first time going to Greece. I would be most grateful for all comments, Thank You.

Thinking of Tsilivi for 2006. Any recommendations for accomodation suitable for family with 2 kids, age 5 & 2.
Some fairly central but not on top of the noise.

Hi there,we are going to Tsilivi on the 10th july and are staying at the christina apts,they have a nice pool area and are about a 15 min walk from the centre as we dont like to be near the noise either,cheers Mark.

Can anyone offer me some advice?

Im going to Tsilivi for the first two weeks in Aug. Ive read its a quiter resort than Laganas. So how long is the drive to Laganas and how much by taxi?

How much € would car hire be preferably a cabrio.

We are staying in the Filoxenia apartments (think thats how its spelled) anyone got info on these?

I stayed at the Planos Bay in Tsilivi the first year it opend which was 2001.

location is very good and they are well looked after , our only fault was that the evening animation was very poor and also inside which was like sitting in a green house!

We wandered off most nights.
Had 3 kids in tangent , who at the time were 9, 4 and 6.

We used a bar across from the planos which I cant for the life of me remember what it was called , but it had a play area and bouncy castle and showed films early on for the kids.

Favorite resturants at the time were the manos grill and the ariadne.
We ate at Popeyes but didnt what the fuss was about.

There is also a lovely resturant overlooking the bay perched on the hill - think it was called the olde vineyard or olive grove - something like that - it was a worth the setting alone.

If spiros is still doing his speedboat tour to smugglers cove , this is the trip to do - your back in half the time of the big liners, the kids get a chance to drive the boat - Great fun.We booked with Tsilvi travel , a few doors down from the planos bay.

If you hire a car would recommend getting down to Argasi to the reptile house
