We usually take £1000 to Spain for a fortnight self catering, granted we are not big drinkers, but we like to live well if that's enough for us in Spain it should be more than enough in Turkey where most things according to all reports on here are much cheaper :P

I have been looking at late deals and have been offered a hotel called TIGALE PANAROMA in Kusadassi can anybody tell me about the hotel or resort i have been to Turkey once that was Bodrum
Reply
its about 45km, & normally take about 60-90 mins on the coach

I think its the Pigale Panorama.
its located in the centrum area (not to far from bar street ..but far enough away for noise not to be a big problem)

Its a 3 star. i havnt personally stayed there, but i have heard good things about it.

they do have a website

thank you you are right which airport do you fly to and how long is the transfer

It Depends what company you book thru.

Izmir is the closest airport & is about 60-90mins away by coach, but some of the holiday companies fly into Bodrum (milas) airport which is about 2 hours transfer.

Its a beautiful hotel (4 star i believe) The roof top restuaranmt is lovley & the hotle itself is one of the nicest in Kusadasi (In my opinion)

its about 700m from the town beach & roughly 4KM to both Kustar & Ladies beaches.
800m from the centrum where there are loads of restuarants, bars, bar street etc

:D
its also known as the rina hotel

Is there anyone out there who stayed at this hotel? What do you think? Is it suitable for small children? What about the beach? Food?

Quick bit on the bits of area for you.
Ephesus is close enough to be reached by a cheap Dolmus and the waterparks in the area are (or were when I was there) jewels compared to others esp Benidorm. Look at the Aquafantasy and Adaland web sites.
Pumekale is a 4+ hour coach trip.
Up the hill (long hill needs transport) from Ephesus is the virgin marys house where the virgin mary was supposed to have seen out her last days.
The caravanserai does a good saturday night show.
The transfer from Izmir is 90% dual carriageway so is not a strain, in fact I can't remember much about it either way.

visited Kusadasi in april and again last week, and yes I do think prices are higher. On previous visits we barely looked at individual prices, and just went on the final price. this time we did some price comparisons, but only as the week went on and prices seemed to increase. Definitely worth shopping around i think. The saray restaurant was one of the best value and good food. Planet yucca nice byt expensive. Any up to date info on cheap prices in restaurants would be good as we're going back again in august

kusadasi is a little more expensive as it is where the cruise liners come. but i have taken my 2 kids there before and i had 2 bedroom apartment in an apart hotel with pool which only cost 25million a night. we also ate out but choose the small turkish restuarants which are much cheaper than the restuarants geared for the tourists. we didnt book excursions through the hotel or agencys. we did everything by ourselves. in fact the last trip i took them was 2 years ago we did 7 weeks in greece and turkey on less than £2000.

We found Kusadasi to be very reasonable. I hope it hasn`t suddenly gone very expensive, as my daughter is going to Marmaris for her honeymoon in August, on our recommendation (we recommended both Kusadasi and Marmaris), an d it`s the first time to Turkey for both of them
