Any milk you buy in a GLASS bottle is pasteurized 'Daily' milk which is only good for 2 days. This milk is ideal for babies, it is regular fat milk. Brands that have glass bottle daily milk is SEK Sut (red cap), SUTAS (green cap).
PINAR has a new type of milk called GERCEK YASAM, that comes in a special plastic bottle that is supposed to be very nutricious. This milk is better than UHT milk that you buy in cartons.
SEK Sut also has daily milk in cartons that say 'GUNLUK' Sut with children photos on the cartons. Make sure to check the expiry date on these cartons and use them within 2 days.
Ülker is a good milk to have, we gave our 2 year old this (as she is still haveing milk b4 she sleeps)
It tastes like normal milk..
Hope this helps

John Boy,
Just came back from Icmeler last Friday. We were buying the Cartons with SUT on bottle and the Red cap. Daughter was using it for her Breakfast cereal, got it from Tansas. Hope this helps.

Hi all well as usual the forum came up trumps yet again many thanks to you all for your info it is very much appreiciated. johnboy
"Sut" is turkish for milk, this is cows milk too. You may prefer to make up say 7oz of milk and then add 2oz of bottled water. I am taking my daughter in september for the first time and she will just have turned one, this is the advice I have been given.
Good luck, let me know how you get on.

Hi, this might be a daft question but I don't go away much.My son is 2 in September and he is currently having 1 pint of whole milk a day.Is there any problem getting hold of this milk in Turkey,Im staying at the Pegasos Tropical on 4th August.
Hiya,
Most milk you find in Turkish Supermarkets is UHT Full Fat Milk. This is fine for a 2 year old, although he may notice a difference in taste - my 2 yr old doesn't though. If he is fussy, you can also quite readily find ordinary full fat pasteurised milk in the chilled cabinet nowadays. There are a few different brands but it is generally called 'gunluk sut'. This milk is exactly the same as the milk you get at home.
Hope this helps.

We drink semi-skimmed in the UK but in Turkey we buy the Pinar Milk in the Green & White carton.
Hi
We are off to Marmaris a week wednesday and have 2 youngsters which have full fat milk. I cannot remember which one is the better tasting milk.
(Is it the red/pink cap)?
Also which is the better tasting semi skimmed milk? Thanks Shane
