He thrust a scratch card into our hands, but we knew what he was up to and just kept walking....and he kept walking with us - uninvited! I was about to rip up my card, and he took the card he'd given my brother, and offered to write his name on the card so he'd get his commission if we handed it in to some commercial centre along the sea front with blue balloons.....
My boyfriend (who also knew what was coming next!) said to the guy "Look mate - do us a favour and and go away please" - to which the tout snatched the cards out of our hands, thanking us for wasting his time and then he shouted at my boyfriend "No need to be so

Next thing I see my boyfriend chasing this tout down the sea front, and the tout stopped to turn to see if my boyfriend was still after him, only to get the shock of his life that he WAS still chasing him. He ran away so fast it was funny!
A lady who witnessed this stopped us and told us this same man had conned her into going to a time share presentation, where they were wanting people to shell out £12,000 for their 'products', so she was quite chuffed with what my boyfriend had done!
Also watch out if people stop you and ask if you're English....we were approached in Los Cristianos, and we just answered 'No' and were left alone. Also if any people ask you if you had recieved your scratch card from you holiday rep...that's another line we were being fed.
I don't totally condone what my boyfriend did, but I must advise any visitors NOT to accept anything that's thrust into your hands without your request. There's some unscrupulous types there just waiting to take advantage of us lovely holidaymakers!
