We are pensioners who want a comfortable hotel in a relatively small resort with a nice prom to walk on and some good reasonably priced restaurants. We also want to make day trips to barcelona.
We're thinking of the hotel Terramar in Sitges for 14 days in late September. Can anyone tell us anything about the resort and the hotel.

We stayed in Sitges a few years ago (2000). It is a very quaint resort with lots of lovely old buildings and a good beach. It is a bit hilly with cobbled streets behind the prom, and the train station was about half a mile walk in from the sea. The resort is very popular with the gay community, with certain sections of the beach and many bars predominantly gay. Another option for a day trip is Tarragona- the opposite direction on the train to Barcelona. Lovely Roman amphitheatre overlooking the sea, and much quieter than Barcelona.
can anyone recommend a cheap hotel for a three night Sitges break in April?
booked the hotel monsterat for 100 pounds for 3 nights. It gets ok reviews.
