We want an island that has ferries to cyprus.

My nephew is getting married in Paphos next year and they have asked us to go. Unfortunately I don't think I would keep my sanity on a family holiday

as my husband and I like to please ourselves. We wondered if there was a greek island that had regular ferries to cyprus and then we could pop over for a few days and then pop off again. Nephew pleased, mother please AND us pleased. Can any one sort us out with some suggestions?!

I hope you can find something, but I expect it would be quite a long ferry journey (12 hours plus I would guess.....).

Maybe look into flights too? It shouldn't be too expensive

I would guess your best bet for a ferry would be the more southern islands, Rhodes, Crete or Kos maybe?

I've just dug out my maps of Greece, and can see ferry routes to Limassol marked on it from Heraklion (Crete) and Rhodes Town.

Its a couple of years old now though, so may be wrong.

is there anything stopping you going to Cyprus and stopping in another part of it?.. like Protaras at the other end ?

Thanks everyone. Your probably right, we may end up stopping in Cyprus. Preferrably somewhere just that little too far for anyone to bother coming and visiting us for an hour or two. Aren't I awful! Sorry, just not the family type.

No sometimes we all need a break from people...

We more often than not go away with my brother and his family but sometimes we like to go our own ways.. Sometimes we will look after their children while they can go off and have some peace, and vice-versa.
