for bars there's "Bar Street" Not much variation in the establishments, but plenty of atmosphere. There's also bars/restaurants all over the place. You won't go hungry or thirsty. Kusadasi has several small supermarkets, with a big Migros and Tansas on the main road, and easy to get to. Hope you have a great time
many thanks for the replies leaving tonight cant wait.
Im sure you will enjoy it ... Ladies beach is the nicest area (In my opinion) and you can get some really nice meals down there, Rosys & sherwoods are really good value & offer great food. in the centrum Yucca is really popular & has the largest menu i have ever seen.
Bar street is where the most popular bars are, but the Kaleci area (the old town) has some nice bars that dont charge the bar street prices. Limon bar is a popular one!
I'm going to Kusadasi with my wife and kids from the 27th July. Just wondering if anybody has been to the waterpark, and also if there are any local bazzars to go to.
Regards
Stewart
1 will it be hot, hot, hot (usually go in the heat of july)
and

Thank you in advance

high 70's for the past few days in Kusadasi, so hot, but not the heat that you have in July.
What kind of bars are you looking for?
there is a huge range in Kusadasi, they have a bar street with about 10 'Irish' bars, all playing the same music, open till 5am & usually heaving busy.
then you have the old town (kaleci) which has some nice traditional type bars, as well as more livley bars (The Limon Bar is a popular one with Locals & tourists)
Ladies beach has a good selection for a more chilled out night, as well as a beach club & a late night bar (Dream bar/boys) which is full of all ages.

Afternoon folks, i'm going to the Tuscan beach with the wife and kids on the 27th July for 2 weeks. Just an enquiry really, what is the surrounding area like as we've never been to Turkey before and are the markets and restaurants good value for money.
eg http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=33452&highlight=tusan+beach
If it is not the Tusan, I know nothing!
hey all. myself and friend are off to kusadasi next week and would love some bar recommendations?
lively / family etc
Temperatures have been in the high 70's this past week ..& getting nicer every day!
We love Marmaris/Icmeler so after reading reports on Kussadasi we should love it also
What will the weather be like in Sept ?
So many questions?? (Sorry, just really excited to be getting my Turkey fix for the year, can't wait!!)
thanks claire, i think you answered my questions in myprevious post.... i've only just noticed that ive put 2 on by mistake!
Can't wait to go....off on thursday. last time i stayed 'on site' in the hotel but this time want to venture into the town to go to a few lively bars for a dance! unsure where my hotel is in relation to the town, my last apptment that i stayed in was very near, short walk away!
my hotel is an all inc one called the pine bay resort. booked 2 weeks ago and got a great late deal!
The Pine Bay hotel is out of town abit, past Kustar beach and the Tuscan so you will have to catch the dolmus into town, 1.5 YTL, and maybe a taxi back late at night. Too far to walk, but it looks like a nice place.
I like the old town area of bars (kaleici) for dancing, better than Bar street, especially
ExClub and Another Bar.
Jmiller ...
for livley bars, Bar street is your best bet, there are quiet a few bars (one day i will count ..lol) along the one street, all are very similar & play the same music (i swear they must make a cd at the begining of the season & share it ) Paddys, Kittys & the Garage are the most popular.
Bar street prices are a lot higher than the rest of Kusadasi, expect to pay similar prices for drinks as you do in the UK .. but look out for offers, they do often have 2 for 1 cocktails available.
I agree with Mark tho .. Kaleci (the odl town) is a lot nicer, its not so tacky as bar street.
Karrie,
The Carina is located near to Bird island, which is half way between the centrum & Ladies beach. the Dolmus stops right in front of the Carina & it takes about 2 mins to Ladies beach & 5mins into Town. it is walkable to both places. there is a beach at bird island, but it isnt that great, you would be better off getting the dolmus into Ladies beach or going a bit further afield to long beach. (the dolmus from town will take you there)
Only downside to the Carina is that it is located up a pretty steep hill & if you are walking back from town at night, the Hill is a bit of a struggle (well it is after a few efes).
There are 2 parts to the centrum, but they are right next to each other & merge together. The old town is a lot more reasonably priced that the newer touristy area.
There is a huge covered market (Bazar) in the centrum & lots of little shops in the side streets of tyhe old town, you can easily find lots of bargains.
as far as supermarkets, im not to sure which would be your closest, but there are a lot of small convenience type stores around the tourist areas & there is 2 big supermarkets in the centrum

thanks for your help guys.....absolutely cannot wait! will check out all the bars you mentioned! I hope!!
Thanks for that Claire, sounds like I thought it would be. Been to Olu Deniz, Marmaris, Icmeler and Turunc before so looking forward to trying somewhere different.
I'm taking my grandmother away as a treat, hopefully going on the 8th of June. I was wondering if you'd recommend Kusadassi for us? I've been looking at various different reviews and descriptions of the resort for days, and seem to be going round in circles.
She's in her late 70s, but is extremely active for her age, and we were ideally looking for somewhere which wasn't too lairy but was busy none the less. She's been to Kusadassi about 12 years ago and loved it, it it roughly the same as it was then or is it completely different?
We've been looking at Marmaris, Kusadassi, and I've started to think that perhaps Icemeler is another contender...as you can probably gather I don't really have a clue (having only been to Gumbet and Bodrum before and I don't really think they're suitable for her)
If anyone could help with any recommendations it'd be much appreciated.
Thanks a lot,
Amy
If you decide on Kusadasi, i would try to stay in the Ladies beach area.
its a lot more relaxed than the centrum which can get really busy & livley. Ladies beach has a lot of nice restaurants & bars all situated along the promenade at the sea front (so easy walking) & if you want to go into the centrum, its only 5/10 mins in the dolmus (& just a small cost)
The Ladies beach area is similar to Icmeler, has the same family feel to it, nice & relaxed, all ages & nationalities.
I think Icmeler is prettier than Kusadasi, with the mountains & greenery surrounding you. But Kus has it bonuses as well, your really close to Ephesus, so if you wanted to add some history into your holiday, its less than an hour away, the beaches are nice & there is great food available, cusinines from all over the world.
Kusadasi has become a lot busier than it was 12 years ago, but it still has a small town feel to it.
The cruise ships come in daily, & its lovley to walk down by the port watching the huge beautiful ships dock.
